A PLAN IS A BEGINNING!

Written by Rhoberta Shaler

To accomplish something, you must plan to accomplish something. That seems so very obvious, however, most folks in this world get only so far as to plan to plan something! There is even a saying about a road to an unpleasant destination being paved with good intentions". People intend to sit down, think their lives through, set goals and create action plans. For most, it just never happens. Do not let that depress you. Better yet, do not let that BE you!

Desire, when harnessed, is power. Failure to follow desire, to do what you most want to do, pavesrepparttar way to mediocrity. Success requires heart and soul effort, and it takes desire. The only way to use your power is to go right ahead and do what you say you want to do.

When you surrender yourself to your worthwhile goals, your clear focus brings with it physical power, energy and enthusiasm. Your subconscious mind continuously works onrepparttar 123849 goal. When you spend a few minutes each day or week reviewing your goals, repparttar 123850 subconscious mind is reinforced. When you affirm your willingness to bring your goals into your reality, you strengthenrepparttar 123851 subconscious mind, too. That's why affirmations work.

They see their personal cups half-empty, rather than half-full.

How about you? If your first thoughts are positive, you have self-confidence. Want some more? There's a secret! Keep your promises to yourself. Yes, when you say that you will spend an hour alone, do it! When you decide on a food program, follow it! When you determinerepparttar 123849 best exercise for you, do it!

Recently I spoke with a woman who told me how well she felt after three weeks of paying attention to her health. She was thoughtful about her food choices, slept well and made time for her exercise of choice. She said that it made her feel good about herself. Of course it did!

When I asked her if she was continuing with that program, she said no. Why not? Somehow her overwhelming desire to keep millions of balls inrepparttar 123850 air and run herself ragged seemed more attractive. Isn't that an interesting conundrum?
