5 Easy Ways To Speed Up Your LaptopWritten by Cody Kahl
Does your notebook seem slower than molasses these days? Do you often find yourself coming to point of heartache and even yelling a few choice words at your machine? If so, then simple steps listed in this article are for you.In this article we will take a look at some of easiest things that you can do to automatically speed up your laptop. And as a bonus, all of these tips can be done for free! 1.) Defrag - How can defragging your hard drive speed up your notebook? Maybe by explaining how a defrag works, you will see how important it is. When your hard drive is new and has no data on it, things get stored in blocks easily. When files and/or programs are stored in nice chunks, they can get accessed quickly – This is why your hard drive is blazing fast in beginning. As time goes on things start to slow down. Files get deleted and this creates empty blocks in hard drive. New files and programs will get saved to these empty blocks, only they aren’t all together – They are spread out. When files/programs are spread out among different blocks of storage, they get accessed much slower. Defragmenting your hard drive brings related files and programs back into a nice big block. This is achieved because your computer knows which files and programs are related through their address. 2.) Empty Recycle Bin – This one is pretty self explanatory, and may even seem like a non issue. Maybe it is, but there are plenty of people that keep their recycle bins full, all time. If something is in recycle bin, you might as well empty it. 3.Erase Temporary Files – The internet as well as your operating system often store temporary files in special folders. These temporary files are just that, temporary, but they often stay on your computer for a number of days or even indefinitely. I don’t recommend going and deleting stuff in folders if you are unsure of what you are doing. Thankfully though, there are many programs out there that will go through and delete unnecessary files for you.

The best way to get gaming computer that you want, that will provide optimum performance is to build your own computer. If you think you do not have technical knowledge or are not capable of building a computer you are wrong. I'm pretty certain that I could teach my mother (who has a hard time working a VCR) how to build a computer. If you can plug a sweeper into a wall outlet and use a screw driver, you too can build a computer. What The Computer Manufacturers Don't Want You to Know! Manufacturers don't want you to know how easy it is to build a computer because they make their living selling complete computers. The truth is that manufacturers focus on selling a computer with an overall low price tag to entice people to buy. They use processor and software as primary selling point. In most cases other than processor and maybe graphics card you have no idea what components they actually use. Alienware is one of rare exceptions. They tell you for most, part what components they are using. However, this doesn't mean that these are best components on market. Every manufacturer gets regular visits from sales people convincing them that they should use their products. Just because a company gives them best deal on a power supply that allows them to increase their profit margin on computers they sell doesn't make it best power supply. This often leads to use of inferior products for sake of profit. The Advantages To Building Your Own Computer By building your own computer you are assured of getting highest quality because you have painstakingly researched every component. If you've ever wondered why your store bought gaming computer with top of line graphics card and ultra fast CPU is still having trouble running newer games, it is likely because they stuck you with an inferior power supply, cheap motherboard, inadequate RAM, and list goes on. In my mind it makes sense to build your own computer.
