If you look at your hand there are generally three major lines running off from thumb area, Heart Line is top one (closest to fingers).

Life Line deals with matters of health and your well-being. This line is read downwards towards wrist. If your life line is long and clear you have good health and vitality you approach each day with all enthusiasm it deserves. A short and faint line means that you lack energy and may be somewhat frail, time to recharge your batteries! Breaks in line show many changes in direction of life. If you have a break in only one hand this shows an illness followed by a speedy recovery - in both hands in same area shows a slightly more serious illness. If your life line ends in a fork this indicates long distance travel. Two small branches means money

Fate Line deals with money, career and ethics decisions. This line is read upwards.

If your fate line is straight and unbroken this means a successful, untroubled life. If you fate line breaks this indicates sudden changes. We are accumulation of our life experiences, we always need downs to help us appreciate just how wonderful ups are. If your fate line starts from head line or heart line this indicates success late in life, usually by your own hand (pardon pun!)

Affection Line deals with marriage and children. This line is read from little finger towards thumb. The more marrier!.... OK so poetry is not my strong point. The more (strong defined) lines you have in this area more relationships you will have. If your lines are strong and defined a happy relationship will be, however broken lines will lead to a separation for thee (and you didn't think I could rhyme). If your affection line curves down you will out live your partner.

From affection line running up to base of little finger are child lines, obviously indicative of number of children you have each line indicates number of children, line for a boy is darker than line for girl.

Sun Line some times referred to as Line of Apollo, this line deals with your happiness and enjoyment of life. This line is read upwards. A clear and straight sun line shows a lucky person. If your sun line starts from your life line or your fate line you will have many successes as a result of using your talents. If your sun line starts from head line your success will come to you in your middle ages.

If line of sun is absent this does not mean that owner will be unsuccessful with money. A financially secure person without a line of sun will normally have a well defined line of fate. A line of sun is more closely associated with contentment and for some contentment comes when material happiness does.

When Jewish people were deprived of their homeland and dispersed during 'Diaspora' they were suffering massive repulsive programs of discrimination by Catholic and later offshoots such as Martin Luther created. His words are ridiculous to an extreme seldom seen in venomous annals of Roman inspired hatred. It is interesting to note that Vlad Impaler of Dracula fame was a Catholic paid agent who salted wells and blamed Jews among other heinous acts. At his time in middle Ages Rabbis created a book called Zohar and thought to correct treatment they had given women, a little. Perhaps like self-serving prayer, these men thought treatment Jews were receiving at hands of Flagellants etc., could be abated by a minor re- deification of women. I am not belittling positive cultural impact creation of 'Matronit' brought about, but I am saying they did not go far enough. To talk about horrors of religious behavior in academic terms sometimes seems to absolve one from real and utterly disgusting aspects of these hypocrites - pursuing power! I must remind myself every time I think of religion that women are being genitally disfigured and forced into unloving arranged marriages or what amounts to prostitution without pay or concubinage.

Many scholars think degradation of Jewish scholarship during this period led to use of a watered down version of Qabala that was called Kaballah. Assuredly many of blessings I have spoken of earlier are often experienced by serious practitioners of these arts included in Qabala. Healings and exorcisms are well within potential of every man and woman on this small planet hurtling at ever faster velocity through space. The Tree of Life which is central to Kaballah is very powerful meditational 'stuff'! The next quote is from Gersholm Sholem, who I think gave a paper at Eranos Conferences on 'Golem' or 'dybbyk' and gargoyles, that are animate forms of prior inanimate matter. He says:

"Kaballah is a unique phenomena, and should not be considered to be identical with what is known as 'mysticism'. It is mysticism in fact; but at same time it is both esotericism and theosophy. In what sense it may be called mysticism depends on definition of term, a matter of dispute among scholars. If term is restricted to profound yearning for direct communion with God through annihilation of individuality (bittul ha-yesh in hassidic terminology), then only a few manifestations of Kaballah can be designated as such, because few kaballists sought this goal, let alone formulated it openly as their final aim.
