But you do need a business plan which is complete enough to anticipate typical problems you will face and provide solutions to overcome them

But do not get intorepparttar belief system that “This is easy, I can just put down a few words, an outline sort of, and knock it off in a few seconds!” Hah! Not on your life, you can’t. This will berepparttar 100268 most important document in your business; it will be something you refer to often to see that you are still onrepparttar 100269 right track, doingrepparttar 100270 right thingsrepparttar 100271 right way – or seeing if you may need to re-write your business plan?

What you write now will affect your entire business. And I strongly recommend getting outside help on your business plan. No, you do not need to hire some professional writer with a PhD for umpteen thousand dollars to create your Homebased business plan.

But what I would suggest is: first, jot down those notes that you were going to make, go over them, adding and crossing out as needed, until you have a pretty good idea of what, why, when, how and where? Then go to your local campus of Community College, University, Business College, and check intorepparttar 100272 classes on writing business plans. Yes, they do have them. See if you can’t give your start-up business torepparttar 100273 students as a “school project”?

These projects often are accepted as class projects. In fact, classes frequently to out intorepparttar 100274 community and seek out real businesses to write business plans for, as class exercises. It will prove to be an invaluable lesson for bothrepparttar 100275 class and yourself. The class will get a real life project and you will gtet a first class business plan. Free! And it will be “your” business plan, created for you and from your notes.

It’s a great place to start! And it could just berepparttar 100276 best business decision you ever make?

Reflections On The First Year Of Working At Home

Written by Kirk Bannerman

Many ofrepparttar entries in my so-called diary had to do withrepparttar 100267 proverbial "two steps forward and one step backward" thing andrepparttar 100268 ever-looming temptation to become discouraged. Although I didn't appreciate it atrepparttar 100269 time, it is now obvious that as long as you have more steps forward than backward you will eventually get ahead! Isn't hindsight wonderful?

Other entries reflectrepparttar 100270 fact that relatively minor events can seem huge inrepparttar 100271 early stages of developing a work at home business and can really contribute to an emotional roller coaster ride. For example, if you are just starting out and you have two customers/clients and you lose one...that's a 50% drop! However, if you fast-forward in time torepparttar 100272 point where you have hundreds of customers/clients and you lose one...that's just a mere fraction of 1%! Same event, just at a different point in time.

Looking back on it now, some ofrepparttar 100273 stuff I recorded now seems humorous, but I'm pretty sure that I was not amused atrepparttar 100274 time I maderepparttar 100275 notations.
