But not having an Ivy League education won't stop enthusiastic poker players from playing game. On a televised episode of 2004 World Series of Poker tournament, a former homeless man stated in a game he got off of streets by learning to play poker. He stated that he learned game by losing $1500.00, one penny at a time. (For record he did not win that tournament, but did leave Binion's with over $40,000 in cash.) And with 2003 and 2004 World Series of Poker Champions earning their seats from online poker room tournaments, Internet will eventually be main producer of players. A huge number of online poker rooms have been sponsoring seats to top tournaments with buy ins less than $100, which is a far cry from standard entry fees for these events at land based casinos. So keep an eye on what is going on in poker world, because excitement is just getting started!

For those who do not possess such knowledge, that will not stop them from playing game from a competition standpoint. Expect more satellite tournaments at land based casinos to sponsor seats to WSOP in order to cash in on poker craze. They admit they don't make much from tables, but what they make on other sales and games from players and crowds they attract, make poker something they will promote. Land based casinos went from closing down poker rooms to opening them up again and building new ones to handle capacity. You will still see familiar faces playing at top of their games like Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, T.J. Cloutier, Doyle Brunson, Annie Duke and others. They are excited because even though it is becoming tougher to win more tournament titles at World Series of Poker, overall they win more money because of their level of expertise at game. Players of this caliber will stay contenders to be respected (and feared) at any final table. The future of World Series of Poker has an incredible amount of potential with an estimated 50,000,000 poker players in United States alone. Keep your eyes open to see what will happen next.
