When our decisions flop, we may hear God whispering, "In all things, seek me first."

When everything we touch falls apart, we may receive God's promise that He has everything under control.

When we're misunderstood, we may receive God's comforting assurance that He understands.

When there is no one else to turn to, we may find our best friend in Jesus.

When we face all our fears, God may want us to know that all we ever longed for and all we'll ever need is found in Him.

Once we realize that God only wants to love us, perhaps we can begin looking forward to lessons, knowing we're on our way to glory (II Co. 4:17-18), and change our question to, "Why not me?"

It seems sad that peace maker has so much more to offer, yet lets fear of adversity rule; that others get to call shots for their life, while they ache inside for what might have been.

Perhaps we could be more sensitive in considering plight of a peacemaker, to not push our will on them and not to hold them back. We might, gradually, teach and guide them to become stronger in taking stands; drawing on their faith in God to see them through.

Otherwise, when they stand before their Maker, there will be no one standing by their side; no one else to blame. When God asks why they didn't follow His callings, their only answer might be, "Well, I thought about it."

Then, God just might turn to us and ask where we were when peacemaker needed us.
