There are three professions that work with eyes.

An Optometrist examines eyes for diseases and medical conditions. They are licensed to dispense prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, and any needed medications.

An ophthalmologist is an eye doctor that can perform any needed eye surgeries. They work very closely with optometrist.

An Optician is a person that makes lenses, frames and contact lenses. They analyze prescription that Optometrist has given. They assist with fitting frames and lenses.

If exam concludes that prescription eyeglasses are needed, optometrist will then either help you decide which frames and lenses best suits your specific needs, or refer you to an optician.

* Rose is obviously pink in color and not highly recommended by optometrists, but does remain an option.

A well-fitted pair of prescription eyeglasses can significantly enhance one's appearance. There are two types of face shapes to consider. Angular face shapes are more squared off as opposed to curvilinear face shapes that have a more rounded look. Finding eyewear that compliments your facial shape is to your benefit if fashion is a concern.

The bottom line is that if you are one of those unfortunate people that have an eye condition and need to wear prescription eyeglasses, then make most of it and find right style and fit for your specific personality.
