When Hearts Turn

My children were a bit confused about Mommy walking aroundrepparttar house crying and saying "I am so proud of myself! I did it, I did it! I am so proud!" Four year old Emma asked, "Why are you crying, Mommy? Stop that crying now!" and Katherine, my wise almost ten year old just stood and hugged me.

I reached out towards Emma, who did not understandrepparttar 124048 words while she understoodrepparttar 124049 hug.

The hug communicated clearly. Our hearts were entwined.

A critical shift happens when your perspective changes and your heart turns in a different direction. Heart turning eliminates judgement, competition and comparison. It allowsrepparttar 124050 individuals to see many perspectives.

Hearts that turn bridge gaps between where you are and whererepparttar 124051 possibilities are desiring for you to go. When hearts do not turn, or worse yet, turn away, repparttar 124052 gulf widens.

A turning heart awakens change. It literally allows rebirth. It has exponential power over trouble and indifference. It is victorious over darkness. It eclipses death.

Inrepparttar 124053 14th Century, two significant events swept Europe. Black Death (also known asrepparttar 124054 Bubonic Plague) killed by different accounts 1/3 to ½ ofrepparttar 124055 population of Europe. It was a time of significant social change asrepparttar 124056 early seeds ofrepparttar 124057 Renaissance were taking root.

Although challenging to imagine in a 21st century world, imaginerepparttar 124058 optimism ofrepparttar 124059 era andrepparttar 124060 devastation ofrepparttar 124061 era. Feel for a moment asrepparttar 124062 energy teetered betweenrepparttar 124063 two opposing feelings.

Death or Rebirth.

Death and Rebirth.

Rebirth and Death.

Rebirth.

Turning hearts birth eras.

The key figure inrepparttar 124064 earliest glimmerings of this rebirth was Francisco Petrarch: Italian cleric, poet laureate, philosopher. Renaissance Man. With his heart, he wrote these words in reference to himself in one of his famous letters: "an insignificant and obscure name will scarcely penetrate far in either time or space." And here you sit, reading his words 7 Centuries later.

We remember how a self proclaimed insignificant figure together with his contemporaries changedrepparttar 124065 face of history.

What happened?

Hearts turned and lives changed. Just like today in your life, when hearts turn, lives will continue to change. The seeds of transformation are sown byrepparttar 124066 brave few who say "Yes!" as they subtly shift towards their destiny.

Henry Ford said these words: "The man who is too set to change is dead already. The funeral is a mere detail." Allow yourself to reawaken, become fully alive, rebirth.

Turn your heart towards your destiny.

Not The Destination But The Journey

to better themselves. Civilization followedrepparttar trails they blazed. What ofrepparttar 124047 inventors like Alexander Graham Bell, repparttar 124048 Wright brothers, and Thomas Edison who succeeded where others failed because they refused to qui? Inrepparttar 124049 political realm, can we ignore men like Abraham Lincoln who overcame a string of failures to become president or Winston Churchill whose perseverance gave a beleaugered Engalndrepparttar 124050 will to outlastrepparttar 124051 destruction of a dictator’s war machine? What ofrepparttar 124052 entrepreneurs, bothrepparttar 124053 infamous andrepparttar 124054 ignonimous, who made their fortunes through risk and then risked their fortunes again in order to increase them? Massive corporations were birthed into existence throughrepparttar 124055 travail of those individuals who nurtured them through their humble beginnings. In every case, success wasrepparttar 124056 indirect result ofrepparttar 124057 persistence of individuals willing to take necessary risks.

By focusing only on obvious success and overlookingrepparttar 124058 process that included apparent failure we succumb to an unrealistic expectation that we are supposed to succeed without setback.

Perhaps thenrepparttar 124059 destination is not as important asrepparttar 124060 journey.
