What Is Your Motivation To Be Successful?Written by Gordon Bellows
Continued from page 1
When you have a purpose besides attaining material things as a motive for wanting to make more money, you are getting on right track. Other motives could include providing a better education for your children, taking care of your aging parents, establishing a scholarship fund in name of a loved one, sponsoring underprivileged children at a summer camp, and donating to various charities. These motives have a higher purpose; they go beyond our own selfishness. By helping others, we get more than we give. It leads us to a higher level of personal fulfillment. It also seems to open up paths to greater success. It is hard to explain, but idea that a person who helps others will be richly rewarded is something that really happens. A good home-based business might be best chance for average person to become wealthy. However, many people give up too early and never realize success they had dreamed of. Sometimes, not reaching a goal is just a lack of solid motives. Along with believing in yourself and what you are doing, right motivation is a powerful driving force that can help you to hang in there and keep you moving toward your goal.

Continued from page 1 or job title or accident, a Master Mind is purposeful both in its make up and its structure. To group, members bring forward their challenges. Each participant brings along their own fresh ideas, their history and their knowledge of what works. Instead of bringing a chisel marked "what is wrong" they bring forth a laser beam embossed "Remedies, Priorities, and Focused Action towards Mutual Success". Sound idyllic? Sounds practical! And it continues to be way of most successful people today. If you do not have a Master Mind group of your own, do a quick inventory of your fiiends, associates, trusted colleagues and people you admire in community. Invite a few of them to meet with you to see if there is a match of interests and energy. This one simple change may be one to make all difference in world for you. As Basketball Coach Rick Pitino said, "Change is what keeps us fresh and innovative. Change is what keeps us from getting stale. Change is what keeps us young." The secret to your success is to be found in your Master Mind. If it is not happening in your current Master Mind group, assess what changes need to be made. Perhaps it is people, perhaps it is format or leadership. Remember, opening words from Henry Ford, "Don't find fault, find a remedy."
