The continuing withdrawal from looking for a job is close to a mental impediment, which can lead to depression, illness, anger, alcohol indulgence, etc. Now what can hapless job seeker do except to hide? The best of all ways is to take action, regardless of big, bad word of rejection. There might be many "We're not hiring" or "We've hired someone else". There will be a yes: "You're hired!", in time. Patience, too, is better than "excuse-itis".

Many of our teamwork training activities are instruments that allow participants to observe and unmask common enemies of teamwork. It helps if we can see more clearly obstacles that all too frequently are created within a team. Team afflictions can be widespread, including: destructive and over-charged competitiveness, individualism, over-inflated egos, personal greed, and technology such as computers that drive us into ourselves and have potential of isolating us so we can “do our own thing.” Seeing impact of these afflictions on quality of teamwork is first step towards creating a more effective team.
