Results from
estrogen plus progestin study showed that
estrogen plus progestin therapy did not protect against heart disease and actually increased
risk of Prempro side effects such as breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Thus, cancer lawsuits are now being filed by our law firm and other attorneys in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania over Prempro due to
increased
chance of breast cancer and ovarian cancer. However, to its benefit—it reduced
risk of colorectal cancer and bone fractures.
Evidence is clear that Prempro side effects and other estrogen progestin combinations can actually harm perfectly healthy women. Women taking Prempro have a 29 percent higher risk of heart attack, 41 percent higher risk of Prempro stroke, and 26 percent higher risk of breast cancer. Prempro was also found to double
risk of dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
Instead side effects of Prempro have perpetrated an increased risk of Prempro breast cancer, coronary heart disease, blood clots, stroke, intense gallbladder inflammation, lupus, uterine and vaginal cancer; and diminished capacity with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. In women who take Prempro but haven’t had hysterectomies -- endometrial cancer has shown to be a devastating Prempro side effect.
