--I take a work break, drive into town and get coffee at my favorite independent coffee shop with my husband.

--I turn off my phone, ignore email and descend into creative bliss when writing.

-- I take a moment to stare out a window and noticerepparttar wayrepparttar 129389 rain, snow or sunshine is reflecting offrepparttar 129390 glass at just that moment.

--I attend a yoga class and gratefully stretch both my mind and limbs to their full expression.

--I take a deep breath and feel it extend my abdomen.

--I drive slowly and in silence.

--I rhythmically clean my house, cook a meal, wrap a gift or wash dishes (yes, I sometimes likerepparttar 129391 feel soapy hot water on my hands).

--I sit anywhere and watchrepparttar 129392 world for a moment -repparttar 129393 people, repparttar 129394 trees andrepparttar 129395 clouds...whatever is happening in front of me from my vantage point.

--I sing (badly too, trust me).

When I do these things I am temporarily "free floating" and my mind is at some level disengaged fromrepparttar 129396 need to achieve. It is a place where small moments of joy live.

Withrepparttar 129397 holiday season upon us, I invite you to occasionally unhook and allow yourself to free float. Your reward will come to you inrepparttar 129398 form of more peace, comfort and joy.

Onrepparttar other hand some people have a few goes and then they give up as well not knowing that had they persevered just a bit longer they would have attainedrepparttar 129388 success they sought, butrepparttar 129389 sad thing is that they will never know because they did not persevere long enough to find out!

As an entrepreneur myself I’ve found it hard to keep on going when things are not going so well. I try to userepparttar 129390 system below to help me stay motivated and focused and achieve my goals.

1.Write down your goals clarifying exactly what you want to achieve and also why you wantrepparttar 129391 goals and how you and others will benefit from it.

2.Focus on your goals daily. Read your goals to yourself first thing inrepparttar 129392 morning when you wake up and last thing at night.

3.Stay motivated by developing support systems. You can cultivaterepparttar 129393 friendship of positive, encouraging people who support your goals and always celebrate your achievements.

4.Select other sources like motivational books, articles or motivational quotes which have uplifting themes. I have a personal quote which I read every day and which I keep with me allrepparttar 129394 time so that when I am feeling down I take it out and read it to myself and almost immediately I feel ready to take onrepparttar 129395 world.

5.Practice Visualisation. Imagine yourself living your goal. Visualise your desired outcome firmly in your mind. See, smell, touch and hear aspects of your goal. Each morning upon rising, review your goal. Repeatrepparttar 129396 process at night. This helps you focus onrepparttar 129397 goals and helps remind you of why you want to achieverepparttar 129398 goals.

6.Persist. Focus on your goals daily. With every defeat or hurdles you encounter you’re closer to attaining success. If you learn from your set-backs and stay on course, success will surely follow. Every day, at regular intervals, review whether and how your activities are helping.

7.Believe in yourself and that you’ll achieve your goal. Then keep on going until you get there. When your mind, emotions and activities focus on your goal, you can achieverepparttar 129399 extraordinary. Really.
