Put not your trust in princes, nor in
son of man, in whom there is no help. Trust in
LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. That thy trust may be in
LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee.
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for
LORD Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
What shall one then answer
messengers of
nation? That
LORD hath founded Zion, and
poor of his people shall trust in it.
Trust ye in
LORD for ever: for in
LORD Jehovah is everlasting strength.
Who is among you that feareth
LORD, that obeyeth
voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in
name of
LORD, and stay upon his God.
My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge
people;
isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust. Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto
place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.
Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders.
For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by
sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith
LORD.
The LORD of hosts,
God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish
multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and all them that trust in him: Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.
Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep
doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
The LORD is good, a strong hold in
day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
I will also leave in
midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in
name of
LORD. And in his name shall
Gentiles trust.
And
disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into
kingdom of God!
And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over
Gentiles; in him shall
Gentiles trust ... Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us.
For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to
end; And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward. Knowing therefore
terror of
Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
Do ye look on things after
outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in
living God, who is
Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in
living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.
And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and
