Traditions of Man RevealedWritten by Carla Robinson
Continued from page 1 a machine gun medallion attached to it. Mind you, he was only nine years old at time. I thought to myself, why are these people honoring death and then selling it to our children? At that instance, my eyes were opened. I began to look for a medallion that I thought was fit for my son to wear around his neck. I began to research symbols and signs. Do you know what I found? Every symbol and sign usedto market products, from shoes to toilet paper, is derived from pagan origins, even down to guess what? The CROSS! Imagine my shock, disappointment and confusion. Oh yeah, I resisted it as first too. I thought, this can't be true! Here I was looking for something for my son to wear on his necklace, and now I've opened up a whole different can of worms. I asked Father(Father, what would you have me do with this information?)And by way He kept on whooping my butt, it didn't take too long before I knew. I said to him, "Father, but who will believe me?" And He said to me in His word. "Now word of Father came unto Jonah, son of Amittai, saying, Arise go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it;for their wickedness is come up before me." Jonah1:1-2 Now, I was in a real bind because I din't want to be one to buck so called system. So, I did what Jonah did, I ran, even after knowing what Father did to Jonah. But as you can probably tell, it did not take long for me to stop running. You know belly of beast has that affect on a person. Believe you me, my whole outlook has changed. Now I'm glad to go to Ninevah. Alot of you are just like me. You know truth, but you're just running and hiding. In closing, I would like to say, STOP RUNNING! Let's go to Ninevah! Who cares if some don't listen, as long as true ones do, and Father's will be done. Carla Robinson --Email~car9robins@aol.com

Mary’s words penetrate deep into hallways of heart. They imbed in fabric of soul. Despite such presence, we often fail miserably at living up to Blessed Mother’s simple mandate. Why does honoring "whatever" part of Mary’s instruction demand so much? Maybe it’s because she knows her divine Son accepts nothing less than all we have to give. He sets bar at perfection. He is not interested in lukewarm faith or partial commitment. He has no time for minimalism. His is an unrelenting challenge, one which never stops asking for more. It’s not as if we haven’t been given proper tools for job. Jesus took special care to remind us of faith’s foundation in Ten Commandments. He presented Beatitudes so that we understood what it meant to die to self. He rounded out our understanding of Christian mission through parables, discourses and miracles. Then he died to show us that love has no limits. Perpetual lessons taught through power of a life perfectly lived. Those lessons should give us pause. When I closed that last business deal, did I comply with his instruction to do unto others as I would want done to myself? When suffering came my way, did I take up cross without whining? When praise was proffered, did I divert spotlight to true giver of skill being praised? In midst of tragedy, did I attempt to discern God’s will among ruins? How close did I come each day to honoring "whatever" part of Mary’s message? In our childhood we learned to obey our mother, honor her place in family, and respect her counsel. Mother guided, corrected, and cajoled as necessary to draw out best in each of us. Often she only needed a single word or a telling glance and we understood exactly what instruction she wished to impart. Her messages, always, were infused with a love that was utterly impossible to comprehend. Well, our heavenly mother has spoken. She has given us most crucial advice in history of world. Across ages, our Blessed Mother has reminded us to "do whatever He tells you." We would be wise to take her advice to heart.
