Top Ten Best Excuses To Not Use The Time Of Your Life

Written by Mahalene Louis

7. I’m too busy! Sidney J. Harris said it beautifully: “Indeed, repparttar time to relax is when you don't have time for it.” Are you hiding behind your busyness? Are you afraid to find out that you don’t know what to do with yourself if you were to stop? Isrepparttar 123149 fear of emptiness making you fill time? Today do something full-filling: go see some great art, really taste your food, talk to a stranger as if he were a friend…

8. I didn’t do it!

Most teenagers cannot wait to be older, and most middle age people regret their youth. Then there isrepparttar 123150 viewpoint of time being too long when in pain, too short when in joy, too slow when bored, too fast when passionate… Byron Katie wrote: “there is no beginning of time, only beginning of thought.” Experience it for yourself: right now, remember a very happy event in your life. Got it? Next, right now, imagine what you might be 10 years from now… Would you then agree thatrepparttar 123151 past andrepparttar 123152 future only exist fromrepparttar 123153 decision you made in this moment to bring them to your consciousness?

9. This is Miller time

I love it: there is sunrise, sunset, and Miller time! Isn’t it correct that you find time for what you want to do, and love to do, be it drinking a beer, exercising, writing, or socializing? So if you cannot find time to clean house for example, would it be appropriate to say that you did not choose to make time? Ask yourself today what isrepparttar 123154 real reason behind you’re not finding time to do such and such? Begin to change your ritual today to align with your conscious decision.

10. I don’t NOW

A client once asked me how I could accomplish so much in so little time. Before I could say anything, my heart answered: “Simple, I stay inrepparttar 123155 moment!” The spontaneity of this revelation transformed both of us. As long as I listen to my heart, my mind and my soul, and do what I am told to do, I find that there is time for everything, which makes for a life well-lived. The feeling is magical, time stands still, and eternity embraces one withrepparttar 123156 kiss of an ardent lover. Just being here and now -- hear and know is all… That is a magnificent gift, appropriately named “the present!”

Memorial Day Tribute

They couldn't be here with us today, but think they would understand that we don't spendrepparttar day in tears and heart- -wrenching memorials. They wouldn't want that. Grief is not why they died. they died so we could go fishing. They died so another father could toss a baseball to his son in their backyard whilerepparttar 123148 charcoal is getting white. They died so another buddy could drink a beer on his day off. They died so a family could get inrepparttar 123149 minivan and go shopping and maybe get some ice cream onrepparttar 123150 way home. They died so thatrepparttar 123151 same family could worship in their own way in a church of their choosing.

They won't mind that we have chosen their day to have our first big outdoor party ofrepparttar 123152 year. But they wouldn't mind, either, if we took just a few minutes and thought of them.

Some will think of them formally, of course. Wreaths will be laid in small sparsely attended ceremonies in military cemeteries and at monuments at state capitals and in small town squares. Flags will fly overrepparttar 123153 graves, patriotic words will be spoken and a few people there will probably feel a little anger that no more people showed up. They'll think no one else remembers.

But we do remember. we remember smitty and chico, and davey andrepparttar 123154 guys who died. We rememberrepparttar 123155 deal we made: if we buy it, we said, " Drink a Beer for Me "

I'll do it for you guys. I'll drink that beer for you today and I'll sit on that beach for you, and check outrepparttar 123156 girls for you, and just briefly, I'll think of you. I won't let repparttar 123157 memory of your tragic death spoilrepparttar 123158 trip but you'll be on that sunny beach with me today.

I will not mourn your deaths this Memorial Day, my Friends. Rather I'll celebraterepparttar 123159 life you gave me.
