Time Management Made Easy

Written by Lynne Kaska

Action Plans are very effective in managing your time. Donít get this confused with a to-do list. Basically an action plan is breaking down an objective goal into small doable tasks. Letís take my launching my coaching practice for example. That was a really large goal and I had to break it down so that I could do it. These are some ofrepparttar things on my action plan: launch website, get newsletter up and going, print business cards, write first 2 e-courses and first e-book.

To Do Lists are another effective tool. But donít forget to prioritize your to-do lists. If you just have a list of 50 things to do tomorrow, thereís no way you will get all 50 of them done. I have 3 categories for my to-do lists: 1. Absolutely must be completed today. 2. Can wait until tomorrow if necessary but would be better if done today and 3. Can wait until tomorrow. Each task is given a priority ranking. Start withrepparttar 139499 things that have to be done today. When they are complete, check them off. Then atrepparttar 139500 end ofrepparttar 139501 day, takerepparttar 139502 things that you didnít get done and add those torepparttar 139503 list for tomorrow. Only, put those inrepparttar 139504 1 category. This will prevent procrastination.

I hope that some of these tools will help you identify your time wastes and learn better ways to manage your time. For further questions, please contact me at Coach_Lynne@hotmail.com.

4. Procrastination Exploration Ė What is your procrastination costing you? Do you have a procrastination reputation? Do you continually have to make procrastination explanations or reparations to others? Are you in procrastination isolation so nobody will know what youíre not doing? Is your credit history in procrastination degradation because of paying bills late? Are you in procrastination desperation because you might lose your job or significant relationships? Sometimes understanding how badly youíre paying and in exactly what ways can provoke you to seek assistance.

3. Procrastination Consultation Ė Talk with friends about how they overcame procrastination. Buddy with them on their own projects, holding each other accountable to get things done. Hire a procrastination coach, someone who has worked with hundreds of people and not only knows about procrastination generation, but has helped many veteran procrastinators with procrastination renunciation.

2. Procrastination Transformation Ė nothing helps you achieve more easily than knowing allrepparttar steps you need to take, having a plan to take them, scheduling that plan into your calendar, creating incentives to make following through more attractive (and consequences to make it less attractive!), and putting some accountability supports into place. This, combined with a simple procrastination meditation, will get you back on track quickly and easily.

1. Procrastination Emancipation Ė Once youíve fully understood that one ofrepparttar 139440 big reasons you have been procrastinating is that youíre focusing only on finishing (and thatís too daunting) youíll begin to instead concentrate on starting, which is a much more approachable and manageable way to get thing done. All you need to do is keep starting, and finishing will take care of itself.
