We have often took simple message of Jesus saves, complicated it to such an extent, that many seeking him are turned off. I remember before Lord saved me. I was hurting so I went to a local church for help. The pastor talked with me, then handed me a sheaf of papers that I had to read and complete before I could join church. I didn't need that; I needed Jesus....and this complicated way of going to Him turned me off.
