If you plan to play golf, be prepared to experience one of greatest golf courses in world, see elevation changes unlike anywhere else in Vegas. Designed by Tom Fazio along with Steve Wynn, you find 18 holes to take your breath away. Eleven water holes, with a waterfall on 18, 2 marshland areas that use underground water, Pennlinks Bentgrass greens and best part of all, many old trees, some over 50 years old, that were salvaged from old Desert Inn golf course and replanted to once more keep watch over play on course...and all of this right outside your hotel room! If you want to play this 7,042-yard, par 70 course, you must be a guest at Wynn Las Vegas.

After doing all this shopping and putting or gambling that is really what Vegas is all about, you'll be ready for dinner and a show. Remember name "Le Reve", it now is name of a water show extravaganza, directed by Franco Dragone, a show like no other, which truly reflects on it's name "The Dream", theater in round, so no seat is more than 40 feet away from action. You merge with actors in this one.

Elegant dining with an assortment of restaurants to keep you busy for a week at least. Try Red 8 for Hong Kong dim sum and barbecue. The SW Steakhouse fetaures good old American steak enhanced with flavors of Alsace. Okada, where you will enjoy authentic robata cooking and shushi prepared by Chef Takashi Yagahaski, voted Best New Chef by Food & Wine. Alex with flavors of Riviera, this one gets 2 Mobil 5 Star awards and AAA 5 Diamond designation. Corsa Cucina is a delightful cafe and offers an excellent selection of wood-fired pizzas. Tableau offers fine American cuisine and is open for dinner to all guests, however, breakfast and lunch for Tower Suite guests only. Another winner is Daniel Boulurd Brasserie, James Beard award, Four AAA 5 Diamond awards, and three Mobil 5 Star awards. Bartolotta Ristorante de Mare, fresh fish flown in daily plus excellent pasta dishes and enjoy Jimmy Sneed's over at Country Club.

The casino offers every table game including Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, and all your favorite poker games, including Let-It-Ride, over 1900 slots and most exciting, a chance to win megabucks jackpot at a penny slot. Cruises typically stop at a different port of call each day or every other day, depending upon distances and sailing time between points of interest. You may stay aboard ship all day or disembark at any stop. You are free to explore each destination on your own as long as you return to ship by designated time. Our ports of calls were Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Los Cabos.

Puerto Vallarta: We made arrangements to take city tour. Riding in comfort of a big, air-conditioned tour bus, Puerto Vallarta was a beautiful sight. Our highlight of day was swimming with dolphins. We literally got inside dolphin pool, touched and kissed dolphins. It was an experience of our lifetime.

Mazatlan: We booked city tour with tour-guide Frank. He gave us a private tour, took us to many places. We shopped, explored, ate, relaxed, and we had a fabulous time.

Cabo San Lucas: There are standard cruise shops, a marketplace of crafts and clothing, and some random street vendors doing "braid your hair", "take a ride on my water taxi" thing. The trip on water taxi was really nice and redeemed Cabo experience for me. We rode around Land's End, went up to pelican colony, not nearly number pelicans living at fishing pier in Mazatlan, went to look at sea lions, and checked out Pacific side of peninsula.

Our last day on cruise was a sad day. We had early disembarkation due to early flights (12:30). The ship was very organized and we were able to get off ship very quickly.

All in all it was an excellent vacation. I'm very pleased with Carnival cruise.
