Tesla Knew Something

For these experiments he constructed a great range of electrical oscillators to produce high-frequency currents, and coils tuned to set frequencies or wavelengths in order to discoverrepparttar characteristics of each energy level andrepparttar 109245 particular uses to which each could be applied. He found thatrepparttar 109246 interlocking harmonics were similar torepparttar 109247 musical scale {Like Pythagoras and his 'Singing ofrepparttar 109248 Spheres' which he credited to his study ofrepparttar 109249 Great Pyramid.} and that his coils responded not only torepparttar 109250 transmissions ofrepparttar 109251 original waveforms, but resonated at harmonic intervals above and belowrepparttar 109252 original frequency. He had discoveredrepparttar 109253 harmonic nature of matter.

He felt ready to takerepparttar 109254 next step inrepparttar 109255 practical application of his theoretical discoveries. During an interview in 1894 he said:

“You will think me a dreamer and very far gone if I should tell you what I really hope for. But I can tell you that I look forward with absolute confidence to sending messages throughrepparttar 109256 earth without any wires. I have also great hopes of transmitting electrical force inrepparttar 109257 same way without waste. Concerningrepparttar 109258 transmission of messages throughrepparttar 109259 earth I have no hesitation in predicting success: I must first ascertain exactly how many vibrations torepparttar 109260 second are caused by disturbingrepparttar 109261 mass of electricity whichrepparttar 109262 earth contains. My machine for transmitting must vibrate as often to put itself in accord withrepparttar 109263 electricity inrepparttar 109264 earth.” (3)

Most people still think Marconi inventedrepparttar 109265 radio. Tesla was given due credit for this invention byrepparttar 109266 U.S. Patent Office, 25 years after his death. Tesla worked onrepparttar 109267 Philadelphia Experiment. There are two movies onrepparttar 109268 subject that surprisingly has a National Historic Plaque to commemorate it. One of these movies is a subterfuge andrepparttar 109269 other has only minor merit. You could say they fictionalize and ridiculerepparttar 109270 reality of why Tesla quitrepparttar 109271 project. He knew they were engaged in creating rifts through time! Who really runs things?

Guitar Tuning Tips

If your guitar has a tremolo bridge, always remember that each string that you tune will go down in pitch as you tunerepparttar next string. One solution to this is to over tunerepparttar 109244 strings. That is to say, you may need to tune your low E string to an F in order to have it be around an E note byrepparttar 109245 time you finish tuningrepparttar 109246 other strings. Over time you'll get a feel for how much you need to over tune each string and it will become second nature.

If you play in a band, it is a good idea to always tune torepparttar 109247 same pitch. Standard pitch is 440 but some bands like to tune down to 430 or even 420 forrepparttar 109248 heavier sound or vocal reasons or both. My point is that if you're practicing at 430 then you have a gig and your band tunes to 440, everything will suddenly sound different, your singer might not be able hit allrepparttar 109249 notes he or she did at practice, your solos might even sound wrong. This is because everything is now a half step higher in pitch. Make things easy on yourself, pick a pitch and stick with it, at practice and gigs.
