About three years ago, after Mama died, I noticed some green shoots coming up inrepparttar vicinity of whererepparttar 126737 moneymaker tree had been. I looked closely, and could see that it was a tiny pecan tree...springing forth fromrepparttar 126738 roots of that big ole tree that had fallen..New life!! I let it grow, and then there were two...side by side. I let them grow in memory of my Mama, and her twin sister. Those two trees, springing forth fromrepparttar 126739 root ofrepparttar 126740 old tree, are flourishing and are now 12 feet tall. The root system was already established, sorepparttar 126741 trees could grow rapidly.

This experience has reminded me of a spiritual truth. Seeds planted long ago will continue to produce fruit. People are born, they die, yet there heritage lives on. A strong root system produces a healthy tree and shows me that we must be firmly rooted inrepparttar 126742 Word of God.

That original moneymaker tree was planted, grew and became old..like us...yet its memory still lives on.

Psalm 92.14 "They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing."

As one of his daughters sang a beautiful song, one she hadn't sung in 20 years, Uncle Owen took his last breath and went home to be with Jesus.

What was amazing about this, is several days earlier, Uncle Owen told me that he desired to preach one more service. As I prayed for him that day, I asked God to honor his request. On his deathbed, Uncle Owen preached a sweet service. God honorsrepparttar faith of his servants!

Rev 14.13: "And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me. Write, Blessed arerepparttar 126736 dead which die inrepparttar 126737 Lord from henceforth: Yea, saithrepparttar 126738 Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."
