Spring-To LifeWritten by Arleen M. Kaptur

If something excites us and we would like to see it come to fruitation, let's follow Mother Nature. God gave her certain rules to follow and they work. Sorry, but we are not be-all and end-all when it comes to how everything is suppose to work. Let's follow seasons and accomplish everything we want to in our lifetimes. It's almost Spring - so let's brush off snow that might be lying on top, or clear a patch so we have working room, get out our tools, and watch sun and allow it to warm our plot and help us along. In other words, begin a project if you feel it is worthy of your time and effort, and finish it. The streets of frustration are paved with unfinished but started projects, and more are coming in everyday. Let's not add to heap, and begin, endeavor, and bring what we start to a conclusion. We will be happier, everyone around us will surely benefit by our efforts, and - well, there is no more wonderful feeling than seeing that seed begin to push upward and bloom. It's Spring - let's ENJOY! ©Arleen M. Kaptur 2003 Janaury

And they require someone to train other in this simpler procedure. Who do ya' think they pick. I'm only one available. So, at 17 I show 29 others what to do and how to do it. Wait, there's more. They bump me up. off line, to new responsibilities. I'm now Troubleshooter for whole group. This means when someone runs into a problem, they call on me to solve it. When I can't figure out what to do, I go to Shift Supervisor, Dick Baker. He's from Green Bay, Wisconsin. His religion is football. The Green Bay Packers are his heroes. His Gods. Every other word out of his mouth is Green Bay. (You've met type.) He always solves problem. Here's scene: I'm hunched over a work station. I'm staring down CRT and perplexing problem. Dick Baker, a few feet away, quietly speaks to person he's with: "That young Burt is so good at what he does--he never has to call on me for help any more." I'm moved by those words. (They prove to be magic words.) Someone believes in me. Someone believes I'm better than I know I am. Maybe he's right. Let's find out. I scrunch down addressing problem. The sweat pours from my brow. I break through and solve problem. I never have to call on Dick Baker for help ever again. Because someone believes in me, I tap into a power I never knew was there. Now I believe in myself. I believe in my power to transcend perceived limits. This proves to be my workplace miracle! Ever since that tender moment, thanks to Dick Baker, thanks to one person believing in me, I've shattered perceived limits again and again. "Think you can, think you can't, either way you're right." So said Henry Ford. And you, dear Reader, can transcend perceived limits of your life. Simply believe in yourself and your power. Then do what you must to create conditions and circumstances you desire. That's all it takes.
