The same thing happens in human body. When your body has a highly acidic environment, body feels pressure. It needs to alkalize body so it starts by searching blood for minerals. No minerals there? Well, then body robs it from your bones. Finally, body is able to eliminate some of metabolic waste. But, oh no, you just drank a diet soda, ate a bag of chips, and ate 3 slices of pizza.
