Seminar Success Strategies...How to Action What You LearnWritten by Lorraine Pirihi
Continued from page 1
When working out when you will take action on each idea, be realistic with timeframes. I find that majority of people do not follow through because they underestimate amount of time it takes to get things done and end up being overwhelmed. They then put all their intentions into "too hard, can't be bothered, I'm too busy" category and move on to another seminar for further motivation and newfound knowledge. Unfortunately, cycle continues. They become educated derelicts. Attending event is easy part. Taking action is much harder. Plan for Time Out Always allow time afterward to assimilate ideas and plan in your diary actions you will take. It's small steps that you take consistently which will make difference. Remember "inch by inch, it's a cinch, yard by yard is too hard" or as Neil Armstrong astronaut said, "one small step for man, one great leap for mankind". It's one percent improvements which will make a huge difference overall in your life. Take action on what you learn because "to know and not to do, is not to know".

Security measures do not mean that it has to be a major expense outlay every time. But, it can come to a major expense if you do not have proper security measures and wind up in a court situation being sued for that reason. You may have insurance to cover it and they may not cover you if found negligent. Then there is bad publicity, court time, lawyers fees and on and on. You can see it can be very traumatic for a business owner! Especially if you lose case and very expensive too! So it makes sense to use a security consultant to get best benefits you can, think of expense as an investment for future. It will keep you out of court, it could save you on your insurance, it will keep you out of bad publicity limelight and it will give you piece of mind. It is better to be prepared and not need it than to not be prepared and need it. This is true for any type of business! Stop looking at security as just an expense and look at it for what it is, an investment to protect your future! Consultants can help you with following issues: ØNegligent Hiring/Retention ØPremises Liability ØNegligent Security ØHiring Contract Security Services ØPhysical Site Security Surveys ØBusiness Espionage ØFraud and Internal Thefts ØDisaster recovery ØRisk Analysis There are many ways a consultant can protect your business.
