These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. “cast alive” Is proof that these are natural men and not a spiritual meaning. Rev 17:17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom untorepparttar beast, untilrepparttar 145059 words of God shall be fulfilled. Rev 17:18 Andrepparttar 145060 woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth overrepparttar 145061 kings ofrepparttar 145062 earth. This last verse indicates that it is Rome. Why? Look atrepparttar 145063 wording; “great city”, which “reigneth” “overrepparttar 145064 kings ofrepparttar 145065 earth”. Rome in scripture is always mentioned haveing great power and vast rule.In early Roman Hystory, repparttar 145066 Pope of Rome orderedrepparttar 145067 Idols of Babylon, to be removed and brought to Rome and be re-dedicated to God. This act was against Scripture. Babylon, that mighty city. Rev 18:1 thru Rev 19:3 are literial and self explainitory. “I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.” “Babylonrepparttar 145068 great is fallen, is fallen” ”the merchants ofrepparttar 145069 earth are waxed rich” Rev 18:12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, Rev 18:13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. Rev 18:19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships inrepparttar 145070 sea by reason of her costliness=repparttar 145071 quality possessed by something with a great price or value! for in one hour is she made desolate. The next question most people ask is,”What City is Babylon?” Babylon is not only a city but a religion. If we look close atrepparttar 145072 description ofrepparttar 145073 city we can eliminate 99% of all countries ofrepparttar 145074 world. There are three destinct intrepretations of whatrepparttar 145075 city is. The First is, Babylon Iraq, which still stand, thou in great ruin. The second is Rome with her controll of religion in many nations ofrepparttar 145076 Earth. The Third, which I believe is most likely, is New York City. The Tradeing Center ofrepparttar 145077 World. New York sea ports, financial institutions, N.Y.S.Exchange, Nasdac, ect. and trade centers. We will get into greator detail onrepparttar 145078 city in our study of Daniel. end section 13.
