The following areas of have been designated as combat areas.

1. Afghanistan and airspace above was designated a combat zone effective Sept. 19, 2001. 2. The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia/Montenegro) 3. Albania 4. Bosnia and Herzegovina 5. Croatia 6. Macedonia 7. The Adriatic Sea 8. The Ionian Sea — north of 39th parallel 9. The Persian Gulf 10. The Red Sea 11. The Gulf of Oman 12. The part of Arabian Sea that is north of 10 degrees north latitude and west of 68 degrees east longitude 13. The Gulf of Aden 14. The total land areas of Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates 15. Incerlik Air Base in Turkey, effective Sept. 21, 2001 16. Pakistan, Tajikistan and Jordan, effective Sept. 19, 2001 17. Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, effective Oct. 1, 2001 18. The Philippines, effective Jan. 9, 2002 19. Yemen, effective April 10, 2002 20. Djibouti, effective July 1, 2002

While deferring back taxes is a helpful notion, a better method would be simply to waive all taxes on military personnel.

Whatever you decide to say on your baby shower invitation, be sure to proofread your baby shower invitation wording and spelling to make sure that all of information is correct. It would be a shame to order and pay for so many baby shower invitations, only to find printing mistakes and have shipping delayed because of waiting for reprints. Taking time to proofread in advance is always a wise idea.

And if you’re not sure what to say, or if you’re not sure if information is clear or if you wonder if it sounds all right, then don’t hesitate to get a second opinion. Family and friends can help you, and many vendors will have customer service representatives standing by ready to assist with wording for invitations.

While you’re ordering or creating wording for your baby invitation, don’t forget to consider wording of your thank you notes! Often these are ordered at same time and made to match invitations. Again, your wording can include poems quotes, etc. and you will want to keep same style, color, or theme. Hopefully, you know mother well enough to know what her preferences are.

And if you’re not trying to keep baby shower event a surprise, then go ahead and ask her or her close family members about her opinions about baby shower invitation wording. She may appreciate being a part of decision making process, or she may be just as happy to have someone else make some decisions for her, so her mind can be on other important things, like preparing for new baby’s arrival!
