Prague is truly stunning and is becoming wildly popular for tourists from all overrepparttar world. The Old Town has winding cobblestone streets that open onto expansive squares. For medieval enjoyment, repparttar 133724 Charles Bridge isrepparttar 133725 best example inrepparttar 133726 city. By climbing up one ofrepparttar 133727 towers that are located at either end ofrepparttar 133728 bridge one can viewrepparttar 133729 castle above andrepparttar 133730 city bellow. This bridge leads torepparttar 133731 imposing Prague Castle that overlooksrepparttar 133732 brightly painted buildings.

I decided to take a day trip to Dresden, Germany. I made my reservations with Rail Europe prior to leavingrepparttar 133733 United States; however, I had to speak to an international ticket agent to obtain my final ticket. Once I chose my date and time travel was quite easy. The ticket agents atrepparttar 133734 international ticket counters speak English fluently; however, if you think you are being misunderstood it is a good idea to write down your exact desired travel details to show torepparttar 133735 vendor. As I already hadrepparttar 133736 information printed on my Rail Europe pass, repparttar 133737 transaction went quickly andrepparttar 133738 language barrier was not an issue. I then watched for my departure information onrepparttar 133739 large screens and went to board my train. For this journey I had a 2nd class ticket and I chose to sit inrepparttar 133740 non-smoking area. I had my own box to sit in which was very comfortable and perfect for a relaxing journey to Dresden. It is important to note thatrepparttar 133741 less luggagerepparttar 133742 better. Although security is tight it is best to keep your belongings close to you at all times to avoid them being stolen. It was a quick two-hour ride to Dresden Hauptbahnhof.

The station is currently under construction to better accommodaterepparttar 133743 roughly 70,000 people that visitrepparttar 133744 city each year.

Riding and Rafting the Rockies at the Rawah Ranch

Written by Cymber Quinn

Continued from page 1

Every morning, Pete's daughter, Kristin, and Ray, cook a hot breakfast to order. You can go all-cowboy and get eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, along with cold fruit, cereal, juice, coffee and tea. And each morning features a different special ofrepparttar house — breakfast burritos, chorizo (a Mexican sausage), Eggs Rawah, omlets, and so on. By aboutrepparttar 133723 third day, we realize we can not eat everything they have to offer, and slow down considerably onrepparttar 133724 beefy breakfasts. It is already too late. We have each gained at least 10 delightful pounds.

After eating atrepparttar 133725 main lodge, we gather atrepparttar 133726 stables to get a refresher course on horsemanship basics. My one and only riding lesson was when I was 11 at Girl Scout camp, so I am happy to be reminded of how to walk around a 1,200 lb animal and how these particular horses like to be handled. We all are assigned a horse forrepparttar 133727 week. Jasper is my horse, a reddish Appaloosa, who had been Pete's horse when he rode more often. A few years back, Jasper lost an eye to cancer. The wranglers worked with him, and he returned to regular service. Universally, repparttar 133728 wranglers thought he is amongrepparttar 133729 best horses atrepparttar 133730 ranch.

We go for a short meadow ride where we see two huge moose lying inrepparttar 133731 field. Moose can easily weigh more than a ton and stand more than eight feet high. We arre awed and reminded that we are 60 miles fromrepparttar 133732 nearest town, out inrepparttar 133733 wilds of northwestern Colorado. A wave of respect and humility moves throughrepparttar 133734 group.

Lunches arerepparttar 133735 most casual ofrepparttar 133736 three meals. A buffet of soups, sandwiches and salads are placed on a sideboard and we tend to ourselves. For those who have gone on an all day ride, a cold lunch buffet appears after breakfast where we make our lunches for long days.

After lunch, we ride out torepparttar 133737 Lily Pond, an easy afternoon hike as well. We are reward with peaceful surroundings, and a stunning view ofrepparttar 133738 Laramie River Valley. We return around 4 p.m., giving us plenty of time to soak our city-slicker behinds inrepparttar 133739 hot tub, catch a quick nap, and dress for appetizers and conversation at 5:30 p.m. The dinner bell rings at 6:30, and we linerepparttar 133740 tables inrepparttar 133741 Main Lodge for a family-style dinner. Pete tells us thatrepparttar 133742 ranch has arranged top-flight entertainment forrepparttar 133743 following evenings, and we should enjoy Monday evening, as it is our only evening free.

We collapse into our king-sized bed with crisp white sheets and slept likerepparttar 133744 out-of-shape cowboy wannabees that we are.

I can't tell you how wonderful it is to never be on a nose-to-tail riderepparttar 133745 entire week. Our riding groups are usually 4-8 people, just enough to have wonderful conversation, but not too crowded. Every day we ride with different guests and wranglers, and get to know everyone. There is never any pressure to ride or do anything at all, so Bob takesrepparttar 133746 morning off, and I riderepparttar 133747 Skyline Ride. What amazing views ofrepparttar 133748 valley, repparttar 133749 240 acresrepparttar 133750 ranch owns andrepparttar 133751 millions of acres ofrepparttar 133752 Rawah Wilderness, and Roosevelt National Forest . A well-maintained dirt road leads torepparttar 133753 ranch, making access easy in any type of car.

All week, we encounter absolutely bizarre weather for August in Colorado — frequent daily showers. On a typical Colorado day, you get a 20-minute shower, a thunder and lightning storm around 4 p.m. But we have spring like rains all week. At a time when everything should be brown and readying for autumn, crazy mountain flowers are still blooming all overrepparttar 133754 place and grassy meadows ache in green. It is wonderful, and worth allrepparttar 133755 ponchos, soaking hats and gloves and mud.

When we discover at lunch that one of our riding options is to skip a trail ride and get a riding lesson, we leap atrepparttar 133756 chance. Another wrangler, Annie, shows merepparttar 133757 correct way to ride whenrepparttar 133758 horse is trotting, something called "posting." It turns out that in my one riding lesson, oh so many years ago, I had learned incorrectly. She is such an incredibly talented teacher, and she gives us simple pointers that makerepparttar 133759 rest ofrepparttar 133760 week go much more smoothly. I highly recommend taking a lesson ride early inrepparttar 133761 week.

It's Wednesday: We Must Be Rafting!
