Psoriasis and Immune System DisorderWritten by Jerry G. Scott
Continued from page 1
This is where things take a turn for worse, because instead of working with immune system, thrust of modern medicine and their backers is to develop new drugs to knock out T-cell function of immune system, thereby allowing excessive skin cell growth to ‘settle down’. As effective as this may be in short run, it comes with cautions, namely reduction in efficiency of immune system. T-cells are in front lines of defence for body. It would appear to make more sense to stop process that produces T-cell proliferation. Healing lining of intestinal walls so that antigens are no longer allowed to pass through walls into bloodstream can do this. In this way immune system will no longer have a reason to go into overdrive, when antigens are no longer present. New drugs will only serve to do what drugs have always done, which is to suppress symptoms. In case of new biologics, it is suppression of immune system. The root cause will remain as long as lining of intestine is allowed to deteriorate. There is another way to deal with whole matter.

Continued from page 1 Most soaps have artificial ingredients to scent or color. Some handcrafted soap is scented with fragrance oils. These are synthetic chemicals that are mixed together to imitate a particular scent. They have contributed in many cases to chemical sensitivity in some people. They also have no aromatherapy benefits. The scents in our soaps should come only from essential oils, which are steamed or pressed from plants. Essential oils are fragrance emitting components of plants and are at heart of aromatherapy. Not only do they smell good; they have many beneficial effects on body, mind and spirit. The coloring in our soap should come from nature as well. The petals of Lavender and Rose can be used. Earth Pigments can also be used, which are simply finely ground rocks. This makes colors rich and earthy, rather than artificial looking.
