P. M. A........

There is a another saying which I would like to share with you……

“Attitudes are Contagious…..make sure YOURS is worth catching”.

Motivational speakers don’t preach depression and negativity - butrepparttar complete opposite. And they all know that often it’s easier to remain inrepparttar 129244 ‘rut’ - thanrepparttar 129245 long, hard struggle to get out, and change….. to change yourself and your outlook on life and others around you.

Take a few minutes to look at small children. Appreciate their naivety and their simplistic and carefree approach to life.

They also have an obvious lack ofrepparttar 129246 pressures, commitments and responsibilities that we may have, they don’t have to work, payrepparttar 129247 bills, cook, clean, keep everyone else happy….but we can all still learn a valuable ’Life-Lesson’ from them.

There are few extremely priceless resources that will definitely help achieve PMA. All of them can be mass-produced, but are often in short supply. Every single one of these incredible resources will cost you absolutely nothing.

So what are they?

1. Smiles. (massively contagious) 2. Laughter. (see above) 3. A good sense of humor. (see above) 4. Politeness. 5. Good manners. 6. Consideration of others. And so on.

Remember - All of them can be mass-produced, but are often in short supply.

Can you see where I going with this? Simplicity itself. But effective and efficient. Just as with dieting, success can be achieved overrepparttar 129248 longer term, without major cost, or huge mind-blowing changes, especially as many people are resistant to change - so make it gradual, step-by-step.

As all good sales people know, to sellrepparttar 129249 product, first sellrepparttar 129250 idea - getrepparttar 129251 customer to ‘buy in’ torepparttar 129252 concept, and your almost there.

To achieve a Positive Mental Attitude, you often will find it necessary to try and persuade others to ‘buy in’……. but first it is YOU who must do so.

I will leave you with one last phrase.

Where it originates - I have no idea. But it is something I encountered a number of years ago, and has been with me ever since. If you take time to think about it, to consider it deeply, it can be quite profound and often enlightening.

You can use it as part of your PMA……….

“Your Life……. Is someone else’s DREAM”.

Why "New Month Resolutions" Are Better than New Year's Resolutions

Written by Dr. Stephen Kraus, Success Scientist

Continued from page 1

 Children struggling in math asked to set near-term goals not only outperform those asked to set more distant goals, they also develop a heightened sense of personal control, confidence, determination, and even (gasp!) an interest in math that wasn’t there before.

 Among adults, near-term goals lead to more weight loss than distant goals, and those who do lose weight setting distant goals do so only because they “improvise” more near-term goals as well.

 Those who are most satisfied with life are those working toward enjoyable, moderately challenging goals of high short-term importance. Those consistently focused on very long-term goals are less satisfied with life, and view their long-term goals as more difficult, more pressure-filled, and less enjoyable.

 Members ofrepparttar U. S. Olympic ski team are required to write long-term, intermediate and short-term goals, butrepparttar 129241 sports psychologists who work with them have concluded that “repeated daily focusing on long-term goals is often counter-productive. The focus is too far intorepparttar 129242 future and preventsrepparttar 129243 athlete from completingrepparttar 129244 intermediate steps essential to ultimate success.”

 Military leaders often “segment” or “compartmentalize” complex missions into smaller, “bite-sized” sub-missions.

With these findings in mind, use New Month resolutions to achieve more in your own life. Instead of focusing on your goal to build a successful business byrepparttar 129245 end ofrepparttar 129246 year, focus on writingrepparttar 129247 business plan byrepparttar 129248 end ofrepparttar 129249 month. Instead of focusing on your goal of losing 50 pounds inrepparttar 129250 next year, focus on exercising 30 minutes each day during January. You getrepparttar 129251 idea. You'll achieve more, be happier, and get that great "fresh start" feeling 12 times more often than New Year's resolution makers.
