Acts 22:6-9 6And it came to pass, that, as I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me. 7And I fell unto
ground, and heard a voice saying unto me, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 8And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest. 9And they that were with me saw indeed
light, and were afraid; but they heard not
voice of him that spake to me.
It was this experience on
road to Damascus that made Saul into
Apostle Paul that we know of. It was Saul’s hearing
voice of
Lord that triggered
change of his mindset and his lifestyle. Saul went from a persecutor of Jesus and all follower of Jesus, to Paul,
carrier of
gospel of Jesus Christ to
nations. Isn’t it amazing how
voice of
Lord, which is nothing more than
Word of
Lord, can change us instantaneously forever! Oh, how we should long for
Word of God each and every idle minute that we are on this earth! The Word of God yields revelation, which also yields light, for revelation and light are synonymous. We continue to live in total darkness until we become consumed with God’s word, His revelation, and inevitably, His light! Saul was consumed with revelation and light when he had his face to face confrontation with
Lord. A Damascus road experience is what we should all long for!
Matthew 16:13-19 13When Jesus came into
coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I
Son of man am? 14And they said, Some say that thou art John
Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of
prophets. 15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art
Christ,
Son of
living God. 17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and
gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19And I will give unto thee
keys of
kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
It is
revelation knowledge of who Jesus Christ is that
church must be built on. The temple of God that rests on
inside of us must also be built on this same rock,
revelation of
fullness of Jesus Christ - Jesus,
lover,
peacemaker
Lamb of God, but also
mighty warrior, Lord of hosts (armies),
Lion of Judah. And as we continue to look at verse 18, we read “and
gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” The revelation of who Jesus Christ is will resist
plots of
enemy and shatter Satan’s ambitions of capturing our mind. The light of God shines upon all darkness and evil plans, and
light then exposes them. This is why Satan doesn’t want us to read
Word of God, this is why He has in times past, and even now, attempted to silence
voice of
prophets of God. The Word of
Lord is what Satan despises because He knows that
Word is truth, knowledge, wisdom and a light for our path - spiritual food for
saints and those that are seeking God.
With a foundation that is built on
revelation of Jesus Christ and His Word,
keys of
kingdom of heaven are handed to us simultaneously. These keys allow us to triumph over
enemy because they grant us
power to bind and loose anything in
earth and
heaven. The keys bring deliverance to
captives, breakthrough for
spiritually, mentally and financially oppressed, and
keys allow
kingdom of God to come, and for
kingdom of God to be done.
Use
keys to triumph in all of your circumstances. No matter what
situation, seek God’s voice, read God’s word, receive revelation, receive life, receive a foundation, and then receive
keys of
kingdom of heaven to prevail against any plots and strategies of
enemy.
You were made to conquer, you were made to win, you were made to have authority, in Jesus name!
