Technology companies need to focus their efforts on creating a broader market, at moment companies are fighting over existing marketplaces and growth is slow and getting stale. The Internet is in danger of becoming an introverted industry, focused on itself and its present predicaments. With signs of Internet recovering its media-alleged "loss of face", it would now be time for Internet technology related companies, to seize moment and plan for simplicity, quality and future growth. A suggestion might be aimed at worlds largest Internet companies as they probably have more to lose, are probably major players caught up in introverted growth. Research. If question was asked, "why are only 6% of worlds population online in one way or another?". It might benefit Internet leaders to explore 14% or so that are onlookers, waiting to see what comes next, or if Net will get easier, or safer. Don't waste resources on fight to retain same net savvy customers, work out problems preventing 'onlookers' from becoming 'onliners'.

This leads us to most advanced Internet users, constituting a minute 0.16% of world's population. This group comprises those who design their own websites; use web host services; to those who have their own links directories; right through to intranet owners and IP enterprise and server builders. The tops of class are those you might refer to as Internet Super-Advanced, those that have reached guru status, a miniscule percentage of world population. Of course there is another group that intermingles with Net Advanced and ‘gurus', commonly referred to as ‘Anti-Spammers'. A now-revealed, tiny, breakaway faction of net users, holding general Net-Advanced to ransom, with oppressive beliefs that ALL unsolicited mail is ‘Spam', there is always few. These figures are in no way intended to paint a bleak picture of Internet - on contrary, Internet is anything but bleak, why else would it be attracting 50, 000 new users a day. Though these stats will dispel general notion that Internet is well on its way to conquering world, they will show to marketing advanced, that, Net is far from accomplished, and still very rapidly growing. This growth is sure to see it infiltrate even most remote places on Earth. So for those who think we are witnessing Internet revolution, hold on to your seats - you ain't seen nothing yet!
