The most time you will spend associated with a mystery shop is in filling out report/survey afterwards. It will take you over an hour to complete survey if you are just starting out. Anyone who tells you otherwise is not being truthful. Something very important that gets conveniently left out is if you don’t fill out survey 'correctly,' your report may be rejected and you will NOT get paid.

Those stories about people making over $7,000 in a month doing mystery shops are anecdotes. They are few and far between. The truth is that you will earn far less. It is true that you can make $10 - $60 an hour doing mystery shopping. But...you may not get more than one job a week or a month for that matter. The reality is that you might make between $50 - $100 a month when you first start out. If you stick with it, you can make several hundred dollars a month or more by doing multiple shops. To make any decent money, you’ll need to do multiple shops in a day. And longer you stay with it, more money you’ll be able to make.

You've heard all hype, now you have other side of story. You now know what to expect going in. And you won’t have to learn through school of hard knocks like so many others have.

Your goal is to become indifferent. In other words, you want to get to point where you’d rather shop for socks than hang out with guy.

4) Write a list of all things you have going for you: Sense of humor? Compassion? Resourcefulness? Remember every compliment you've ever gotten. Write them down. Whip ‘em out whenever you start mooning over What’s-His-Name. Know that you're an excellent catch.

5) Take care of yourself. Speak to yourself as you would a beloved child. Wear clothes that honor your body. Eat foods that nourish you. Avoid convenience foods that damage your health and your looks. Buy yourself flowers.

The antidote to being stuck on a bad man is to learn to love yourself enough to stop being attracted to him. The bonus? After a while, you’ll start attracting (and being attracted to!) men who really know how to love a woman.
