"Micro-management: Necessary evil or just plain evil?"Written by Molly Luffy

3. You spend time telling people exactly what to do and how. Ask yourself: Is this kind of instruction really necessary? Is there a way to give less instruction and allow employees to find solutions to issues themselves? 4. You find yourself irritated when other make decisions without consulting you. Ask yourself: What is wrong with me? Am I on a power-trip? Or am I simply trying to make sure things are running smoothly? How can I work on letting go of reigns to allow others some autonomy? You know, guys, sometimes you need to let go of things and allow people to find their own way. Yes, mistakes might be made. But wonderful discoveries for new and better ways might be made as well. Sure it takes time in short term to train employees on how things need to be done, but it is so worth time commitment. You and your employees will benefit in many ways. You’ll end up with more time in your day to devote to more important matters, and your employees will be able to breathe easy knowing that you aren’t going to be hovering and MM-ing them to death!! Not to mention improvement in morale from employees feeling good about fact that you actually believe in them! Another workplace win-win. This is what Wiz lives for!! Now go out there and be a STAR! | | HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED WHEN BUSINESS IS SLOWWritten by Vicente Alfonso
Continued from page 1 DREAM-BUILDING and VISUALIZATION..... My sponsor is a wise man. This is part of why we are still friends today, even though our business relationship is over. He taught me that in order to really stay focused , we sometime have to find something that we want and "hold out carrot in front of us". For me, that carrot was car. Mercedes 500 S-CLASS. What he had me do was use my mind and visualize car I wanted, exact color, model, interior, stereo system, everything. He would then take me to car dealer and show me exactly what I had visualized."Sit in it," he would say. While I sat in this car and drooled all over myself, he went and talked to dealer. He came back and with a straight face, handed me keys and told me not to drive so fast.I almost had a heart attack. I mean I was 20 years old behind wheel of a $100,000 car, I almost fainted. We drove it on highway for about an hour.I got it up to 90MPH. Then he said "Time to go back". Dream-build, It's a really great motivator. GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT...... Without a doubt, patience is on of most difficult things for any Entrepreneur to learn. We want it when we want it, and that's it. Even though we have heard that most businesses take five to six years to turn a profit,we think that shouldn't apply to us. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is your business. Be patient. Let your eyes be equal to your stomach.I find that older I get, easier it is to be patient. Take George Clooney. George Clooney was on well over twelve T.V. shows before he got E.R. Whoever said that patience is a virtue was right.
