Marriage, what role did organized religion play?

Christian doctrine relegated role of woman as that of a servant to her husband. Women were forbidden to divorce and men were considered head and boss of family. Raping your wife was frowned upon but legal.

Fortunately, modern marriage has evolved to be a much more civilized institution in most cultures. The cultures where religion plays a major role in government, plight of married woman is very disturbing.

In recent months, institution of marriage is being challenged by those seeking same sex marriages. The opponents of gay marriage say roots of heterosexual marriage are a sacred ritual between a man and a women.

After examining origins and history of heterosexual marriage, it can be argued that because women in free societies are no longer considered property, institution of marriage should be abolished and replaced with a civil union for all.

So let us all shout: Marriage, you are weakest evolutionary link, Goodbye!

INTERNAL WILL

Internal Will includes a strong moral/ethical discipline and a merging of psychological/ spiritual peace. In near future, as in past, God Ego and humanity’s true spirit will clash. The human heart and spirit will abandon God Ego leaving only a few right wing pests. The consciousness movement has brought millions in touch with their inner selves. It may seem like breaking power of God Ego and control they have over masses is an impossible task, but all extreme forms of power articulated through World Ego eventually destroy themselves, i.e… Roman Empire, Hitler Regime, Fascism, and now George W. Bush Regime.

Although regular 9 to 5 working people exert very little external will, their inner will has grown quickly, silently and powerfully. Once gap between The God Ego and humanity widens, God Ego’s hold over people will evaporate.

As people grow and become one powerful voice, they will hear and react to spirit calling from within.

Teach this, and soon idea will catch on like common cold, and self empowerment will spread throughout masses.
