Linking Purpose To Everyday Behaviors

Written by Pat Wilkund

Continued from page 1

Additional techniques for linking daily behaviors and long-term projects include: * Remind yourself what to do to support your purpose. Put up reminder notes around your house to keep your purpose front and center.

* Figure out how long specific tasks take so you won't skip out by telling yourself it takes too long or you don't haverepparttar energy. At one point I decided I would get more serious about keeping up my database. I had told myself it was too big a hassle to do and I would wait until I had a lot and then find someone to do it for me. I was embarrassed to discover entering new contacts weekly actually took fifteen to twenty minutes.

* Use lost, or fiddle time, to punch a hole in a bigger project. I always take work with me when I go on appointments. I can read an article, review my appointments forrepparttar 104737 next day, make a quick call on my cell phone in those times that would other wise be wasted.

* Build in an artificial deadline and put yourself on a schedule. Play a game with yourself, and even reward yourself, for being a good kid when you've done one of those necessary but not fun little jobs.

* Give yourself credit for what you have done andrepparttar 104738 hassles and work it was to accomplish it. I live in a wonderful town. When I tell people where I live, their reaction is usually "You're so lucky to get to live there." Luck had nothing to do with it. It's part of a project I have in giving myselfrepparttar 104739 business and life style I want.

Just Think ...

Written by Joyce C. Lock

Continued from page 1

If you userepparttar gift God gives you, He gives you another one, too! Then, when you use both gifts forrepparttar 104736 Lord, He'll double it again, and again! There's no longer any reason to whine about how others are so gifted and you're not. Get going! One gift is a good place to start; at just your speed. How do you think I ended up with so many different gifts!? It really works!

And, do you know what else? Now, this is really cool! If you make just one person smile, they will feel happier and will, in turn, make at least a couple more people smile. Then, you have two new people smiling who will, in turn, make two more people smile. You started with one smile, which was yours. And now, that seed has already multiplied seven times when all you did was smile!

The same is true in sharing joys ofrepparttar 104737 Lord. Each time you minister to someone, they will find opportunity to share it again. It's kind of likerepparttar 104738 Energizer bunny. It keeps going and going. Some seed multiplies a little, some up to a hundred fold. It could even be more!

Thank God that we don't have to count how much our seed gets multiplied. All we have to do is offerrepparttar 104739 seed and God will take it from there.

I often wonder ifrepparttar 104740 person who led Billy Graham torepparttar 104741 Lord had any idea what they had done. One seed multiplied more times than anyone but God can count. Have you ever thought to realize it could be your seed that will reachrepparttar 104742 next Billy Graham?

Just think of allrepparttar 104743 good we could accomplish were we to quit letting Satan tell us that we can't. Why, we could changerepparttar 104744 world ... if we would just think.
