When a chill runs down our spine, or hair on back of our neck rises, or our palms start to sweat, or we feel queazy, our bodies are giving us valuable information. One way to train people to protect themselves in dangerous working conditions is to make them more aware of their bodily signals and what their intuition is telling them. They need to become barometers--sensitive to pressure and change. Once considered province of a gifted few, we now know that everyone possesses intuition. If you invite it into your life and pump up volume, you'll receive some valuable information you need to have for problem-solving. And how do you know when it's not just fear or wishful thinking? Well, when your intuition tells you to do something, and you're attuned to it, you feel certain. When could you ever say that about facts and figures? Bring some leverage to your problem-solving--get acquainted with your intuition.

Continued from page 1
Perfectionism is lethal in relationships because people perceive drive, and know that somehow they'll never measure up. At same time, putting yourself under that kind of pressure kills all spontaneity. When your goal is perfection, it becomes difficult to make decisions and to meet deadlines. You're always trying to out-think yourself. Perfectionists are often micro-managers. They're afraid to let anyone else do anything, because of unrealistic standard of perfection. Does this apply to business? You bet. "Beware of perfect people," says Dick Brown, chairman and CEO of uWink Inc.. "They will never propel your enterprise to greatness. They're too cautious. You've got to be fast to be good." Aim for excellence, not elusive perfection, and your work product will be better and you'll be a lot happier.
