Law vs. Liberty

Written by Joyce C. Lock

You could do a thousand 'do good' deed per day, obeyrepparttar laws like a robot, and God wouldn't be impressed (Co. 2:20-21; Ro. 7:6)

What God wants most isrepparttar 126878 relationship; walking with Him, talking with Him, listening for and believing Him (enough to take whatever step of faith He provides in meeting your need).

All God ever wanted was a friend (Ja. 2:23). There is no wrath for God's friends (Ro. 8:1), but a wonderful relationship instead (II Co. 3:3,17).

Religion & Politics -- the Landmark Ruling of Justice Moore vs. the United States

The Presidential Oath of Offices states: “…I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully executerepparttar office of President ofrepparttar 126877 United States, and I will torepparttar 126878 best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defendrepparttar 126879 Constitution ofrepparttar 126880 United States."

The Present United States Army Oath attests: “…I do solemnly swear that I will support and defendrepparttar 126881 constitution ofrepparttar 126882 United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance torepparttar 126883 same; and that I will obeyrepparttar 126884 orders ofrepparttar 126885 president ofrepparttar 126886 United States andrepparttar 126887 orders ofrepparttar 126888 Officers appointed over me, according to regulations andrepparttar 126889 uniform code of military justice. So help me God! “

The US National Anthem, written by Francis Scott Key, in its entirety includes: “,,.Oh, Thus be it ever when free men shall stand, Between their loved homes andrepparttar 126890 war's desolation; Blest with vict'ry and peace, mayrepparttar 126891 heav'n-rescued land Praiserepparttar 126892 Power that has made and preserved us as a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust"; Andrepparttar 126893 star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'errepparttar 126894 land ofrepparttar 126895 free andrepparttar 126896 home ofrepparttar 126897 brave.”

On US Mint Paper money, repparttar 126898 phrase is written: “…In God We Trust…”

In State and Federal Court proceedings, individuals are proposed to swear upon a Bible, afterrepparttar 126899 question - “Do you swear to tellrepparttar 126900 truth, repparttar 126901 whole truth and nothing butrepparttar 126902 truth, so help you God?”

This notorious ruling (Justice Moore’s ejection) has advertently created an anomaly inrepparttar 126903 foundation of US principles and practices - not only in civil proceeding; in law altogether. The paradoxes are expediently going to modify American society in ways that are unimaginable. By eliminating a single person’s belief foundation – whether it be inrepparttar 126904 virtue of God or no god at all, is a flagrant violation ofrepparttar 126905 US Constitution. When persons can no longer express their beliefs, or opinions, then America as we once entrusted ourselves to is no longer existent. If in fact, Justice Moore’s monument was so offensive, thenrepparttar 126906 monetary exchange must obliterate all wording of God upon its print. If there is no “higher” law, then to what do we attribute our own word of truth? When there is no Divine law, then law itself, is extinguished – thus, unenforceable. When military personnel are sworn into office, they can no longer be held accountable forrepparttar 126907 protection ofrepparttar 126908 US Constitution, as their oath specifically affirms to God. Furthermore, if they findrepparttar 126909 dollar bill offensive, members ofrepparttar 126910 US military should not have to fight for their country because it “incites” religion.

Ah…the wheels of irrevocable motion have begun to spin out of modern society’s control. Since we no longer need a higher law in which to follow or answer, then justice and punishment are a past novelty. Life as we know it has been dramatically distorted – are you paying attention? The deeper we dive intorepparttar 126911 political reference or irrelevance to God,repparttar 126912 more we are hurled into an inescapable labyrinth of justifiable crime and corruption. The repercussions of this monumental order have not yet reached their full potential. The possibilities of reverse decisions in criminal cases are still yet to come. What if a client findsrepparttar 126913 sworn testimony of a potential witness as an infringement of his “religious” beliefs? Will this not become a free “get out of jail” card forrepparttar 126914 scores of guilty thugs who could perversely misuse this ruling as a legal technicality inrepparttar 126915 justice system?

The assumption is that since a higher law is no longer acceptable by modern-thinking Americans, then why have laws at all? Laws and regulations (set forth byrepparttar 126916 United States) are governed byrepparttar 126917 Ten Commandments – thus justice and our modern legal system are mute – some thoughts to ponder.
