It’s all to do with the way you wake up.

If you are unsure about this just take a moment and look back at your life. Can you seerepparttar times when you thought you couldn’t cope and yet now appear as turning moments in your life? Basically what we are suggesting is that, ‘nothing can happen to you that isn’t for your benefit’. Even though when it is happening it doesn’t feel like it.

If you are in this place and wake up feeling angry, upset, annoyed and despondent don’t worry. All is not lost. There is still something else you can do to enable you tap into your hidden strength.

Grab five minutes or so beforerepparttar 122908 rest ofrepparttar 122909 house wakes up. Or claimrepparttar 122910 bathroom for an extra five minutes and sit quietly and plantrepparttar 122911 seeds of peace and love in your mind. Just sit down or stand quietly inrepparttar 122912 shower and think of a peaceful place or scene and allow it to envelope you and become part of you. Or think of a loving tide washing over you. A feeling of warmth and peace. A feeling of love and acceptance. Just stay in that place for as long as you can. Enjoyingrepparttar 122913 moment of being loved and at peace withrepparttar 122914 world. When you do this you are connecting with your natural strengths, your natural power of peace and love which naturally bring freedom and positivity to your life. The result is a feeling of harmony and contentment. Someone who is ready to facerepparttar 122915 world.

If you feel sceptical about what we have said and don’t believe that you can change yourself so easily, when you have time, have a go atrepparttar 122916 following exercise that we came upon several years ago.

Find a place, either a room orrepparttar 122917 garden, where you can be alone for a couple of minutes. Now imagine that your nose is really close torepparttar 122918 ground. Got it. Now walk around for about three minutes imagining that your nose is really close torepparttar 122919 ground.

When you have finished note or write down your experience. If you can’t let go ofrepparttar 122920 feeling shake your head like an animal shakes itself when wet to return to normal.

Now start again but this time imagine that your nose is close torepparttar 122921 ceiling. Again walk around for three minutes withrepparttar 122922 thought that your nose is really close torepparttar 122923 ceiling.

Write down your experience.,

Did you note any differences in your attitude inrepparttar 122924 exercises? How was your breathing during these exercises? What did you feel? When did you walk slower/quicker?

Usually people say that there feelings were more open and aware when they were thinking that their noses were nearerrepparttar 122925 ceiling.

The point is that nothing changed in your life. We just asked you to change your awareness. It’srepparttar 122926 same in life, if you change your awareness then you are able to change your opportunities. When your awareness is expanded you can only grow. If you are aware of yourself as a loving, peaceful, powerful, resourceful human being thenrepparttar 122927 chances are that is what you become and therefore you changerepparttar 122928 way you wake up.

Good Luck

The Things I Took for Granted

Written by Staci Stallings

Continued from page 1

However, I have to admit those five days gave me a deep appreciation of how hard my parents worked day-in and day-out for 30 years, and that understanding solidified my determination to do whatever it took to not to stay on that dairy my whole life.

Two years later, when homesickness threatened to undermine my determination to make college work, all I had to do was remember those five days, and my willpower returned with a vengence. In fact, several times I outright told my mom, “I’m getting my degree so I don’t ever have to come back and work onrepparttar dairy again.”

Eventually my determination paid off, and now, I no longer have to worry aboutrepparttar 122907 dreaded sound ofrepparttar 122908 back door slamming and my father’s voice yelling, “Stace, come out here! We need help!” Not only that, but I don’t even have to worry about how long milking is taking, knowing that every passing second means less time to do anything other than homework.

To be honest, I’m grateful that I don’t have to worry about those things anymore, but atrepparttar 122909 same time, I also don’t have a compelling reason to be up in time to seerepparttar 122910 beauty of a sunrise. Nor do I haverepparttar 122911 opportunity to jitterbug with my sister inrepparttar 122912 middle ofrepparttar 122913 dairy barn. Andrepparttar 122914 times that I can work side-by-side with my dad and ask about family relations and hearrepparttar 122915 old stories are growing fewer and much farther in between.

No, now, there are whole stretches of days when I don’t feel any pressing need to even go outside. And I can go months without petting an animal or watching in amazement at their keen sense ofrepparttar 122916 environment around them. Instead I have neighbors within shouting distance but who feel like they live a planet away. I don’t see them when I go to church or torepparttar 122917 grocery store or just “up town.” They live their lives, and I live mine, and here, no one questions that. Eighteen years I lived my life on that dairy, not really knowing there were people who didn’t get up and go out and work together to getrepparttar 122918 same overwhelming tasks done day after day. Sometimes I wish I had never found out there were.
