Drop Shipping – this time you are merchant. But before you say ‘not for me’ listen to this. You don't have to see product, touch product or even purchase product that you sell.

This is how it works. You find a product that is available from a wholesaler that you could sell for a profit (I’ll show you where to find them later). You set yourself up as a merchant with a website (easier than it sounds, I’ll also tell you more about this in a later issue). Then you get visitors to your site, through advertising or search engines like ‘Google’.

Every time someone buys, you send order to wholesaler, they will send product to customer and send you a bill. You pay bill from customer’s money and left-over is your profit.

Sounds tedious but there are ways to automate process to run without you doing much at all. I’ve never tried drop shipping but done a lot of reading and no some people making over 7 figures with this method (yes, 7 figures!).

OK, these are a few models for you to think about, but that’s not all by a long shot. I’m spreading them out over a couple of issues so you have chance to do a little extra research and think them over.

Whichever option you choose, once you get your equipment start playing with it and making items for your photo mug business. If you decided to work in a store or kiosk, find location now if you have not already. If you are going virtual, purchase your domain name and purchase your web site host. Many will help you create your web site and have payment options for customers as part of cost of hosting web site.

Your web site should be full and have lots of variety of product, but it should not look disorganized or cluttered. Make sure like products are together. Your photo mug business web site should also be search engine optimized with keywords that rate high with search engines. Join affiliation groups as well. To make money on internet costs a little to ensure marketing and drive traffic to your site. The more traffic, more profit.

Keep up to date with trends by subscribing to parent company newsletters and industry periodicals. Check out books and web sites to watch competition. This keeps your business healthy and keeps profits growing.

Also, attend any seminars or conventions associated with photo mug businesses. These can give you tips on marketing your business, new equipment that is available, how to expand your business and much more. It is imperative you keep current of trends and keep your customers happy.

You will also want to review your business plan annually. You may want to expand by adding a web site if you have a real store or adding a store if you have a web site. Or you may want to expand by offering brochures, flyers, and other business promotional services. This is a business that will always have customers and can always expand.
