Atrepparttar end ofrepparttar 126870 service, we went to retrieve Little Lady. As we led her out ofrepparttar 126871 toddler area, SHE took over and started pulling my wife byrepparttar 126872 hand.

She lead my wife downrepparttar 126873 hallway with great determination, dragging her throughrepparttar 126874 throng of almost 1000 people milling about inrepparttar 126875 hallway, allrepparttar 126876 way torepparttar 126877 far side of repparttar 126878 church where we had entered before to reach our pew. This was no small feat, and it took ten minutes to get throughrepparttar 126879 crowd, but she was persistent.

When we had fought our way two-thirds aroundrepparttar 126880 church, she pulled my wife intorepparttar 126881 church fromrepparttar 126882 hallway throughrepparttar 126883 very door we had entered earlier – after we had left her off atrepparttar 126884 nursery.

I stood in amazement as I watched her go several pews down and turn right intorepparttar 126885 very pew where we had been seated. She had never seen us go there. She had never been insiderepparttar 126886 church before. How did she know?

OK, so this was notrepparttar 126887 parting ofrepparttar 126888 Red Sea and nobody's life was saved. But could it be anything other thanrepparttar 126889 work of angels?

"My, What Big 'I's' You Have!"

Written by Doris E. Howie

We live in troubled times. We cannot ignorerepparttar sorrow around us. We must be likerepparttar 126869 Good Samaritan, if we would follow Christ.

We cannot turn our eyes inward to see what we would like to have—we must rather open our eyes outward, to see what they MUST have to live.

We must indeed have big eyes—big to see, and big with compassionate tears. We must indeed have big I's—I can do this little bit to help; I can do that little bit to help, and I will do what I can. Thus will our I's serve us.

I pray that our returning Lord will not find us "seeing, but perceiving not"repparttar 126870 need around us. I pray that our returning Lord will not find us sulking in a fit of gloom because our pride is hurt. I pray that as we turn to others to share His love and bounty, we will find such peace that our eyes will see His face in all we help.

"Even so, come, Lord Jesus" — but until You do, we shall do what You would have us do.

Let us do all we can, as we can, and pray that others will join us as we do.

[Note: The above article was written close to a decade ago, but unfortunately hasn't lost any of its immediacy inrepparttar 126871 intervening years. As a society we're *still* putting things before people's needs far too often in our daily lives... aren't we? - DEH]
