Having It All: Why Some People Make the Leap--and Others Don't

WHAT DO YOU THINK LIFE IS REALLY ABOUT?

What do you think isrepparttar purpose of life? And do your actions flow from that perspective? Do your life choices flow from what you think isrepparttar 130788 meaning of your life? Or does your behavior in life actually reflect a different set of beliefs?

WHAT DO YOUR ACTIONS SAY?

One of my teachers observes, "You can tell what a person really believes by watching howrepparttar 130789 person acts, not by listening to what they say."

A person’s behavior—personal everyday choices—reveals most accurately what they really believe is central and important in life. We often sincerely think we believe one way, yet we act in another.

For example, many people think they believe that life is about sharing their blessings of time, talents and money with others. However, if you closely watch how they allot their time and resources, you see a very different motivating force driving their choices—most of their energy goes into building private reserves of money and "things."

Many folks genuinely think they believe "we are all one," yet their actions scream separateness and competition. A lot of people say "the universe will provide," yet they worry allrepparttar 130790 time about money and they take jobs they hate. Many "believe" they have a "soul mate," yet they settle for a "comfort mate" just to keeprepparttar 130791 horror of loneliness at bay. People believe in abundance, yet don’t have what they want. Many people believe they are "eternal souls," yet their fear and insecurity shout "I’m not safe."

CLOSING THE GAP

Why is there a discrepancy between how we "think" life is and how we actually experience it? Whyrepparttar 130792 gap between what we say we believe and how we act?

Because our "unconscious" beliefs are runningrepparttar 130793 show! The same observant teacher comments, "What we create in life isrepparttar 130794 sum total of our conscious and unconscious beliefs." How can you tell what beliefs are lurking under your surface, keeping you from true happiness? It’s obvious—simply look at what realities you’re currently creating in your life. Anywhere you’re struggling—financially, emotionally, physically—you have subterranean beliefs undermining your stated goals.

The way to createrepparttar 130795 prosperity, love and health you want in life is to transform your unconscious sabotage. Then your actions will align with your natural state of abundance and support—andrepparttar 130796 goodness will flow naturally in your life.

Being Happy

Written by Jerry Lopper

Of course, when we buy intorepparttar need to have something (like money) in order to be something (like happy), we invite need’s partner, FEAR, into our lives big time. For when we believe we need something we then either fear we won’t get it, or once we achieve it we fear we’ll lose it.

We need nothing! Everything our souls desire is right here for us. Look within at what gives you real happiness. When you recognize that love brings true happiness, and that to love (including self-love) is also just a choice to make, then you realize that you need nothing else--you have everything your soul desires.

Now, sometimes when I talk about this people will take an extreme situation, saying something like, "How can I choose to be happy when I’ve just sufferedrepparttar 130785 loss of a loved one or a crushing blow to my self esteem?" Well, in those situations it would be foolish to try to choose happiness. By all means, choose to grieve or anger, but not for long. Grieve and anger forrepparttar 130786 natural benefits those states bring based onrepparttar 130787 situation, then, as quickly as possible, choose to be happy again. Why? If happiness is your desired state, then choose it as often as you really desire it. But maybe it’s not really your desired state. Maybe, at some level, you’re deciding to be sad, angry, anxious, or morose. What do you choose?
