The Plaza de San Nicolas, at
highest point of
Albaicín, is famous for its magnificent view of
Moorish Palace.
Sacromonte Hill, which overlooks
city from
north, is famous for its cave dwellings, once home to a large gypsy community. Here, you can find some of
best flamenco shows in Andalucia.
Perhaps
most important Christian monument of Granada is
Cathedral. Built in 1523, Queen Isabel and King Ferdinand are buried there in
Royal Chapel.
Among museums well-worth visiting are
Art Museum in
Palacio de Carlos V at
Alhambra,
Alhambra Museum,
Cathedral Museum,
Archaeological Museum and
Science Museum.
If
children become a little bored with sightseeing, they will just love
activities available in
nearby Sierra Nevada ski resort or
beautiful beaches not too far away. And so will you!
So ... come visit Granada and have
time of your lives!
