•Self-control. In exercising knowledge, develop self-control. We live in a world of steadily decreasing self-control. The number of road rage incidents is evidence to that. More than half of U.S. Adults are over-weight.16 Many suffer from lack of control in eating habits. Drug abuse and overdose have increased beyond what our ancestors would recognize. In gaining self-control, more and more we learn to put aside our own desires so that we may fulfill God’s desires. •Patience. When allowing Holy Spirit to help you gain more self-control, add patience. I overheard a teacher’s advice to his student, “Never pray for patience, because you will get lots of problems with opportunity to learn patience.” The student’s reply was, “I don’t believe that God would send me problems to teach me anything.” Look in on what Apostle Paul writes Roman Christians, “We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us—they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it, until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady.” 17 What do you think of teacher’s advice? •Godliness. As you develop patience, put aside your own desires in an increasing measure, so that God may have His way with you in godliness. The Apostle Peter wrote Jewish Christians and now us, “Obey God, because you are His children; don’t slip back into your old ways—doing evil because you knew no better. However, be holy now in everything you do, just as Lord is holy, who invited you to be His child. He Himself said, ‘You must be holy, for I am holy.’” 18 •Brotherly affection. When practicing godliness, develop brotherly affection. Love one another with brotherly affection—as members of one family—giving precedence and showing honor to one another.19 Love brotherhood of believers.20 Pray for God’s people with strong purpose. As you pray for Body of Christ, interceding on their behalf, your concern will become Christ’s compassion. Your hands and feet will become Christ’s members, reaching out to saints. Your affection will become Christ’s love flowing through you for His Church.21 •Love. When praying for church in brotherly affection, finally add love. Let love guide your speech and actions. In my B.C. before Christ days, I would often hurt others by just bluntly telling them truth. If anyone would say anything to me about it, I would respond with, “Well, it was truth!” After meeting Christ, I continued with this speaking truth. But each time I did, I would feel so miserable, I was compelled to apologize. Later, after prayer, Holy Spirit instructed me I could speak truth, but in love. I discovered that truth in love is often silent. Let love guide your actions. The Apostle John wrote to his friends in faith, “Little children, let us stop just saying we love people; let us really love them, and show it by our actions.” 22 Let love guide your life. Grow to love more and more. The more we add and develop these qualities in our life, more useful and fruitful we will be to our Master, Lord Jesus. We will become special vessels prepared and ready for Master’s use. In Paul’s second letter to Timothy, he encourages us to be like expensive dishes in God’s house, “If you stay away from sin, you will be like one of these dishes made of purest gold—the very best in house—so that Christ Himself can use you for His highest purposes.” 23

Continued from page 1 These next two verses; 10 & 11, show punishment of Hell. Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of wine of wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in presence of holy angels, and in presence of Lamb: Rev 14:11 And smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth mark of his name. [Ref; Isa_33:14, Isa_34:10; Joe_2:30; Luk_16:23, Deu_28:65; Isa_57:20] Rev 14:12 Here is patience of saints: here are they that keep commandments of God, and faith of Jesus. Rev 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are dead which die in Lord from henceforth{These are ones mentioned in {Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on earth?}: Yea, saith Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. Rev 14:14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon cloud one sat like unto Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle {Ref;Joe_3:12, Joe_3:13; Mat_13:30; Mar_4:29}. Rev 14:15 And another angel came out of temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for time is come for thee to reap; for harvest of earth is ripe. Rev 14:16 And he that sat on cloud thrust in his sickle on earth; and earth was reaped.[ 14:15 & 14:16, Rapture of Saints from Earth] Great violence and death takes place in this area of time upon earth. Gods patience with man is over. Rev. 14:17 thru 14:20, judgment and death come upon inhabitents of earth that followed Beast. [Ref; Isa_62:1, Isa_62:6, Isa_62:7, Jer_51:33; Joe_3:13; Zec_5:6-11;] Rev 14:17 And another angel came out of temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. Rev 14:18 And another angel came out from altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather clusters of vine of earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. Rev 14:19 And angel thrust in his sickle into earth, and gathered vine of earth, and cast it into great winepress of wrath of God. Rev 14:20 And winepress was trodden without city, and blood came out of winepress = {Isa_34:5-7, Isa_66:24; Eze_39:17-21, Isa_63:1-3}, even unto horse bridles ={5 to 6 ft.}, by space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.=A unit for measuring distance, equal to 1/8 mile (201 meters). The spiritual meaning indicates great violence and death to all unbelievers. Isa 66:24 [ a window into hell is opened, those that are left alive will be able to see consequences of rejecting Christ.]And they shall go forth, and look upon carcases of men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh. We will get deeper into Babylon city in future sections. end section 11.
