Getting ReadyWritten by Joyce C. Lock

The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused widow's heart to sing for joy. (If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready. For, lo, wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon string, that they may privily shoot at upright in heart. Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against face of them). For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Keep thy foot when thou goest to house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. And it shall come to pass in that day, that great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in land of Assyria, and outcasts in land of Egypt, and shall worship Lord in holy mount at Jerusalem. The heart also of rash shall understand knowledge, and tongue of stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly. So carpenter encouraged goldsmith, and he that smootheth with hammer him that smote anvil, saying, It is ready for sodering: and he fastened it with nails, that it should not be moved. For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all night; in morning it burneth as a flaming fire. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto marriage. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not Son of man cometh. ><><><><><><><><><>< And while they went to buy, bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to marriage: and door was shut. For thus saith Lord that created heavens; God himself that formed earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am Lord; and there is none else. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. And to make all men see what is fellowship of mystery, which from beginning of world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: And that ye put on new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Glimpses of God © by Joyce C.
