Persistence is likerepparttar object in motion. It takes more energy to stop it than for it to continue its course. Startingrepparttar 123447 object is where most ofrepparttar 123448 energy is used. And, it'srepparttar 123449 same in pursuing success.

You Can Bet Your Bottom Dollar!

Everyone wants to be a success in life, but unless you make a commitment to never say quit, you will have a lot of opportunities to fail. The comforting thing is; life will never quit on us, it will keep presenting us with opportunities to succeed, many of which will look like you'll be up to your neck in alligators.

You may have a problem now that you've tried and tried to overcome. You many have even said, "I've fought this thing so long." What'srepparttar 123450 use, I'll never win. I have just one word of encouragement for you: Just remember; "Cat Food!"

When I first decided that I was not meant to work for someone else, a friend gave me a poem that I want to reprint here. The author of this poem is unknown, and I'm sure some of you will have seen it and I'm sure a lot of you haven't. It was an inspiration to me when I first read it and I've kept a plaque of it for many years. The title is; "Don't Quit".

Don't Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will, Whenrepparttar 123451 road you're trudging seems all uphill, Whenrepparttar 123452 funds are low andrepparttar 123453 debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns, as every one of us sometimes learns, And many a fellow turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out. Don't give up thoughrepparttar 123454 pace seem slow, You might succeed with another blow.

Oftenrepparttar 123455 goal is nearer than, it seems to a faint and faltering man, Oftenrepparttar 123456 struggler has given up When he might have capturedrepparttar 123457 victor's cup, And, he learned too late whenrepparttar 123458 night came down, How close he was torepparttar 123459 golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out, The silver tint ofrepparttar 123460 clouds of doubt. And, you never can tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems afar, so stick torepparttar 123461 fight when you'rerepparttar 123462 hardest hit, It's when things seems worst that you must not quit. (Author Unknown)

Worth Its Weight In Gold!

If you won't quit, your faith in yourself andrepparttar 123463 goodness of God will see you through. Remember, with you and God, you can turn failure into victory.

You Never Know

What possible incorrect assumptions do you make about yourself? What arerepparttar things you’re afraid to try because someone once said that you weren’t good at it?

Havingrepparttar 123446 courage to try new things can feel risky, yetrepparttar 123447 rewards can be enormous. Here are some thoughts to consider that might uncover a diamond in your rough.

1. Make a list of allrepparttar 123448 things you think you can’t do or someone told you you weren’t good at. Most people can find this easily inrepparttar 123449 artistic realm. How many people are told in grade school that they can’t draw or sing?

2. Ask yourself if it’s true that you aren’t good at whatever that might be or if you have simply “bought” someone else’s opinion.

3. Think about what would happen if you could do those things? Would this be joyful and open up new potentials in your life?

4. Take a deep breath. Experiment. Take a baby step and give one of these a try. What do you have to lose?

5. Then, seek unconditional support. Find someone in your life that will support your efforts no matter what and be an accepting and appreciating cheerleader.

What turned it around for me wasrepparttar 123450 advice I got from my coach. She told me to forget about “writing” and to just tell my story. Write to one person and share what’s in your heart. Suddenly, repparttar 123451 words began to flow. The positive feedback I then received encouraged me further and new worlds have opened up as a result.

Now I’m wondering about that second grade teacher that told me “girls don’t need to be good at math”.

I wonder…

It’s YOUR life…imaginerepparttar 123452 possibilities.
