Once you've agreed a reciprocal link, enterrepparttar URL of both your link page and theirs intorepparttar 124916 database, and then Arelis will check your links whenever you tell it to. It will check incoming and outgoing links, so you'll quickly see if one ofrepparttar 124917 links on your site is broken, or ifrepparttar 124918 link-back to your site no longer works.

The paid versions allow you to email and to create link pages direct fromrepparttar 124919 program, as well as creating databases for more than one site.

You can try Arelis at no charge -repparttar 124920 help file will soon have you finding links for your site, though you'll need to use your email program to contact webmasters.

Linking etiquette

If you want to exchange links, it's courtesy to add their link to your site first. That way they know you're serious.

Make sure your link page can be accessed from allrepparttar 124922 pages of your site, and thatrepparttar 124923 link isn't hidden in tiny print atrepparttar 124924 bottom ofrepparttar 124925 page. Include it in your main navigation if possible.

You may offer special status to sites that link back - a logo or icon by their name, or being listed atrepparttar 124926 top of your link page.

Don't overload your link pages with graphics. If you use an individual button for every link, your page will load much more slowly.

Be polite when you email webmasters - it's easy to forget that they're people just like you! Don't be offended if they don't want to link back. Ifrepparttar 124927 link is useful (and it should be - or why ask for an exchange?) then I leave it on my site anyway.

When you send out a reciprocal link request, includerepparttar 124928 exact URL where their link can be found - don't expect them to search your link pages until they find their link.

When emailing webmasters, give details of your site title, URL, and a brief description - no more than two lines. Make it meaningful. Avoid descriptions like "The World's Greatest Web Site". This doesn't tell anything about your site content - just thatrepparttar 124929 webmaster has a big head!

Happy linking!

Until now.

Generating Advertising Revenue with Google AdSense

Google's AdSense opensrepparttar door for Publishers to generate advertising revenue through AdWords. Publishers put a snippet of javascript code on their pages through which Google serves highly relevant AdWord advertisements.

Google paysrepparttar 124915 publisher part ofrepparttar 124916 revenue earned when someone clicks on an ad. The formula used to figure AdSense payments is not disclosed, as explained inrepparttar 124917 Google AdSense FAQ: "Although we don't discloserepparttar 124918 exact revenue share, our goal is to enable publishers to make as much or more than they could with other advertising networks." (Note 3)

I have been an AdSense member for just over a week. I am not allowed to disclose payment figures. I can say initial results - both click rates and payments - significantly exceed my expectations. For examples of how I set up articles with AdSense on WebSiteMarketingPlan.com, have a look at some ofrepparttar 124919 articles onrepparttar 124920 guest author page here: http://WebSiteMarketingPlan.com/Arts/GuestArticles.htm

To be considered as a publisher inrepparttar 124921 AdSense program, you must submit an application. Once your site is reviewed, Google will accept or reject your site. Acceptance is not automatic. Before you apply, check your site againstrepparttar 124922 guidelines explained inrepparttar 124923 program's terms and inrepparttar 124924 FAQ.

Combining Content Articles with AdSense: A "Four Way" Win

Once you are accepted into AdSense - or in preparation for applying torepparttar 124925 program if you do not currently have enough content - correctly setting up pages with articles (Note 4) can create a "win" for all involved.

Your visitors win because they find more of interest on your site. AdWords advertisers win because their ads are seen in more places. The article's author wins through added exposure.

Most importantly, you win by combining articles and Google AdSense on your site. Participate inrepparttar 124926 programs responsibly and you're likely to experience increased, interested traffic as well as higher advertising revenues.
