Febrile SeizuresWritten by Rexanne Mancini

Not all children who have a febrile seizure will have another one. I believe statistics are 30 percent of children will suffer only one. If you've lived through this once, I pray you are one of lucky parents who never have to witness your child in grips of this malady again. While these seizures do not cause child long-term harm, they can age a parent ten years overnight. There are many redundant articles online that explain and explore febrile seizures, their complications and coping strategies for parents, although all that can really be done is to make sure child is safe and allow seizure to pass. Knowledge is power. The more you know about febrile seizures, better you will be able to cope if your child ever has one or has already suffered one or more seizures.

For mothers, father of our children is one person we can trust to watch over our babies as closely as we would. We are secure in knowledge of their love for our precious offspring. Dad is only other person in world as fascinated with every nuance and murmur of our babies. He is one person on planet with whom we can indulge our need to brag and carry on about our kid's accomplishments and heartaches ad nauseum ... one who will be just as interested and never yawn in face of our devotion. Without dads, we wouldn't be moms. I would like to take liberty of thanking them from all our hearts for this honor and for being our partners in this business of raising children. Know how much you are loved and revered, guys! You are our trusted soldiers and we need you more than you will ever realize.
