I live in an area of Australia, where there are large areas of Sugar Cane and Tomatoes growing, farming these crops being one of
main industries. The farmers are frequently spraying
crops, with all sorts of chemicals, our water supply originates from a weir on
river, when it rains, where does all
run off from
farms go, yes, thats right, into
river.
I once asked our local authority Health Inspector, Why does
water supply taste so awful? His answer was "Unfortunately, our supply comes from a weir on
river, and a river is one of natures drains, so we have to put substancial amounts of chemicals, in to
supply, to make it fit for human consumption".
We collect rainwater in a 300 gallon tank, which we use for drinking, tea, coffee and cooking purposes, but we do always boil it before using. The normal supply is just used for washing, bathing and watering. Whatever
future decisions are on Fluoride, we will not be drinking it, if you have children, I would recommend that you do some research yourself, then make your own decision. I feel that we are giving our children far too many chemicals already, without having any choice.
