Embrace ChangeWritten by Mark Susnow

Just look at nature's cycles. Trees bud in spring and by summer they are full of delicious fruit. In Autumn, leaves fall to ground and when winter arrives, trees are barren and cycle begins anew. You know for certain there's an intelligence in nature's way of doing things. What if we looked at life in this way? Since we know there are cycles in our lives, we can prepare for inevitable next cycle. We know it will be colder in winter and warmer in summer, so we dress accordingly. We do not resist cycles of nature, so let us not resist cycles of our lives. Now, here's good part. If we know there are changes coming we can prepare ourselves by becoming more flexible and adaptable. If we know there are changes coming we can enjoy moments when things are going well and when they are not, we can look forward to a better future. By embracing change as a way of life, we can look forward to change as opportunity, as adventure, as possibility. It is essential that we have tools to prepare us for this new way of thinking. Today there's an increasing awareness of teachings from many different walks of life that encourage us to be more open and flexible. As we look inward and take time for reflection through meditation and prayer we are more accepting of our differences and unique rhythms. And as we continue to expand we can embrace change as a way of life. Let me know what is changing in your life. I love receiving your many responses and feedback. Thank you and keep them coming. Probably 90% of time, our negative expectations are proved unfounded, and this one of rushes we get from action, along with knowledge that your goal is undoubtedly closer to happening because you *have* acted. You also get a sense of control, and ability to choose direction of your life. Finally we arrive at ‘I did’ stage. At this point, we have maybe achieved our goal, or taken steps towards it, and we can begin to unleash this system on other goals in our life. Maybe it didn’t work out, in which case I pull out one of my favourite quotes: “You’re not a failure if you try and don’t make it, you’re a success because you tried”. In either case you can feel proud of yourself, because you are truly harnessing power which lies within yourself, and believe me, you will feel happier and less stressed. We use this 4 step strategy all time, every day. Putting out rubbish for garbage collector for example. I should put rubbish out because it’s bin day. I must put it out, or it won’t get collected. I will put it out, because I don’t want it hanging around for another week. I did put it out, and job is done. Our own goals in life, whatever they may be, simply need a conscious effort to apply same 4 steps!
