About Cascata Cascata, exclusive desert golf club owned by Caesars Entertainment, Inc., has been named by Golf Magazine as one of top 20 golf courses built in United States since 1959. The magazine gave course top rank in Nevada. The "Top 45" list, compiled by noted golf writer Gary Galyean, ranked Cascata 19th in nation. Galyean praised Cascata's "endless desert views" and declared that luxury golf course "overshadows all others on Nevada scene." The stunning 400-acre golf facility is set in foothills of River Mountains range near Boulder City, just 30 minutes south of Las Vegas. Designed by legendary golf architect Rees Jones, course is available exclusively to guests of Caesars Entertainment resorts. Soaring 3,200 feet above Las Vegas' desert valley, par-72 course is draped across mountain slopes, providing striking vistas at every turn. Cascata's lush fairways meander for 7,200 yards through mountain terrain amid stark desert beauty. Pleasing distractions include multiple waterfalls, resident bighorn sheep and a magnificent Tuscan-themed clubhouse. "It's very gratifying when a publication of stature of Golf Magazine recognizes what we at Caesars have known all along - that Cascata is one of very best golf courses in United States, and absolutely best in Nevada," said Brian Hawthorne, Cascata's director of golf. "We're honored to receive this very welcome recognition." Only one other Nevada course was named to list, in 30th position.

Speaking of Culpepper, did anyone else notice that all three quarterbacks for NFC in pro bowl are black? (Culpepper, Michael Vick, and Donovan McNabb). It’s about time. –Not too long ago none of these guys would have been given shots at playing position. Culpepper would have been a linebacker, McNabb a running back, and Vick a corner or receiver. It’s about time NFL has finally started showing progress. Now hopefully that will translate to sideline/front office jobs. And for all you closet NASCAR fans (I know you’re out there – there are 10 times more people watching it than admit to it). Keep an eye on Carl Edwards this year, he doesn’t qualify as a rookie, but should have biggest impact of any of new regulars. Otherwise Hendricks remains team to beat, with Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson preseason favorites. Last years rookie of year Kasey Kahne along with a resurgent Ryan Newman are Dodge’s best bets, and look for a breakout season from Kevin Harvick.
