Downing In The Mainstream

Let's facerepparttar facts.

There has been something that I've wanted to get off my chest for quite some time. I AM NOT TRYING TO SELL YOU ANYTHING. I don't want your vote, I'm not peddling a product or service and frankly I don't even care if you like me. So why don't you believe me? I'm really not a kook. I do my homework. Maybe I have facts wrong at times but I ask you who's more likely to lie to you, The Indy Voice or a career politician? What would I have to gain by lying to you? What would a politician have to gain?

The fact is that I was right then and I'm right now. Trust me, I don't derive any satisfaction in telling you that this country went to war based upon false pretenses made up by an adminstration who had an ideology to further, campaign contributors to pay back and a divisive reelection to face. War solved all those problems for George W. Bush and it's about damn time this country was patriotic enough to facerepparttar 142065 truth.

So why is there just only brief mentionings (like this) ofrepparttar 142066 Downing memo inrepparttar 142067 mainstream media? Why shouldn't everyday citizens of this country be aware of what poli-geeks like myself have been aware of for a month? Why isn't it front page news? Isn't there something wrong with a media that refuses to inform its citizens and a country that acts like it doesn't want to know about evidence that points to their President lying when he took us to war? Ifrepparttar 142068 memo's factual incorrect or a forgery shouldn't we at least have that discussion? Shouldn't we at least investigaterepparttar 142069 possibility?

Why isn't Downing inrepparttar 142070 mainstream?

Whose Land?

So, there are some Palestinians who claim descendancy from Esau. Some fromrepparttar Philistines. Some fromrepparttar 141917 Canaanites. Some from Ishmael. Who knows who they are for certain? The Palestinians appear to definitely be a mixed group of Arabic people, and some may indeed have these roots. However, none of these inheritrepparttar 141918 Covenant, regardless!

None ofrepparttar 141919 Canaanites received an inheritance blessing from God by Divine Covenant. So,repparttar 141920 Palestinians who claim to be descendants of eitherrepparttar 141921 Philistines orrepparttar 141922 Canaanites, are definitely excluding themselves from being pure descendants of Abraham, even if such descendancy could be proven, which now is pretty difficult.

The Divine Everlasting Covenant related torepparttar 141923 Land of Canaan was promised only torepparttar 141924 descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob, not through Ishmael or Esau. Therefore, repparttar 141925 Palestinians have no basis upon which to lay claim to any portion ofrepparttar 141926 Land of Canaan.

Does this mean there is no inheritance forrepparttar 141927 Arab descendants of Abraham? Actually, repparttar 141928 Arabs ofrepparttar 141929 line of Esau were also given a blessing by Isaac, which requires much land with resources and wealth. Genesis 27:38- 41. "And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept. And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall berepparttar 141930 fatness ofrepparttar 141931 earth, and ofrepparttar 141932 dew of heaven from above; And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt haverepparttar 141933 dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck. And Esau hated Jacob because ofrepparttar 141934 blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob." This blessing for Esau's descendants is yet to be totally fulfilled. However, repparttar 141935 Land of Canaan is not their inheritance. Esau is not to lay claim to Jacob's Covenant inheritance. Rather, Esau has his own! And, we must be honest. Not all Arabs are direct descendants of Esau! Some are of Lot, and some of Ishmael. Therefore, it is apparent that not all Arabs are able to lay claim to Isaac's blessing for Esau!

And, what ofrepparttar 141936 descendants of Lot? Lot did for a short while have his choice of sojourning inrepparttar 141937 plain, while Abraham dwelt inrepparttar 141938 mountains. Where arerepparttar 141939 mountains Abraham dwelt in? They are what we now callrepparttar 141940 West Bank area of Judea and Samaria! Lot was driven out because ofrepparttar 141941 abominable sin ofrepparttar 141942 people ofrepparttar 141943 cities ofrepparttar 141944 plain. Lot and his daughters becamerepparttar 141945 progenitors of two branches of Arabs. These Arabs cannot claim direct descendancy from Abraham, although they are shirt-tail relatives. Abraham was not givenrepparttar 141946 freedom to sharerepparttar 141947 Covenant, even with his own nephew!

So, what of Ishmael, Abraham's son by Hagar, repparttar 141948 bondwoman? Did Ishmael receive a blessing? Yes he did, even though he wasrepparttar 141949 son of a lack of faith! Genesis 17:18-20. "And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee! And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time inrepparttar 141950 next year."

The Arab nations now occupy multiplied times more land thanrepparttar 141951 Israelis! They have no need to oust Israel from any part ofrepparttar 141952 former Land of Canaan! In fact, God is not pleased with their desire to take over Israel's Covenant inheritance. The Palestinians, even if they could prove their descendancy, cannot usurp G_d's Covenant ofrepparttar 141953 Land with Jacob!

The Land is not to be possessed by "who was there first." Those who are descended from Esau's marriage with Canaanite wives, who were first inrepparttar 141954 Land, can no longer be properly identified, becauserepparttar 141955 Canaanites were to be ousted permanently in compliance with G_d's decree whenrepparttar 141956 children of Israel entered Canaan. So, even ifrepparttar 141957 Palestinians could prove to actually be descended fromrepparttar 141958 Canaanites, there would still be no contest!

No matter how we look at it,repparttar 141959 Land of Canaan was given by Everlasting Covenant to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

To believe and act otherwise will only lead to more animostites, wars, and unrest. But this does not need to be! The Palestinians must recognize their jealousy of Jacob is futile!

Jacob's inheritance is tiny! Let him have his inheritance. The Arab occupation includes allrepparttar 141960 lands surroundingrepparttar 141961 Land of Canaan, but not Canaan itself. Click here to readrepparttar 141962 rest ofrepparttar 141963 article
